It's a McDonald's. This one does has a slightly more upscale feel and a big play area for kids though. Like most chains, the best and worst part of a McDonald's is you know exactly what you're going to get.
Food is pretty good lots of options. My favourite is the chicken sandwich and chicken wrap meal. A few drink options not a bunch but good flavours. They have cheap good ice cream and good sized McFlurrys. There’s a play place for children. The staff is good but not always the best, the bathrooms are sometimes cleaned well.Food: 4/5
I’m not sure what happened at this McDonalds today but it must have been busy. Our food wasn’t made with love junior chickens had no lettuce and sundae was overfilled and leaked onto the tray and made my hands sticky after I touched it. Forgotten lettuce and a bit too much ice cream was not enough to warrant complaint from me. Other than that it was your typical McDonald’s. Fast and just as you expect. However, we elected to sit in the play area as we have a toddler who decided she only wanted to run and scream today why are these play areas rare these days at McDonalds???. I immediately regretted this decision - but have you ever had to tell a toddler they couldn’t do something you just told them they could do? - on the floor in the playroom the bodies of the lost fries laid, with their innards smeared across the floor as a warning to other passing fries. There were three tables: all three of them had obviously seen this same battle; which was evident by the smeared greasy fingerprints of others. Only one table wasn’t covered in garbage and old half eaten food. We were the only ones in the room at that time so we had the pick of the litter. A friendly fly visited us mid-meal and refused to leave, despite our attempts to make it feel unwelcome. It must have escaped the prison at the cash, where it’s friends were living. When we were at the counter waiting for the food I watched several flies performing the “cell block tango” from the musical Chicago amongst the donuts. Overall, perhaps another case of understaffed employees.
One of the worst McD’s. On the odd occasion I visit this place, I’ve never NOT had to wait when ordering at the drive thru. It’s the only McD’s that I have to pay for an extra nugget sauce or a mcchicken sauce?! Food is ok, IF they get the order correct. Seldom give napkins. Has one of the most frustrating drive thrus. Pick the wrong line and you can watch 6-7 cars in the neighbouring line order before someone takes yours. It’s worth the 12 min drive to Sackville you’ll wait that in the parking lot for your food in Amherst anyway to receive timely service, a hot and correct order and an extra sauce at no charge if needed.
The coffee is good, on the rare occasion that they get your order right. Check your items before pulling away, it’s likely wrong to some degree. C’mon McDonalds, do better!
Had a daughter daddy breakfast. If was easy, quick and the food was great. Early morning next to no one in there, it was quite and relaxing. Kid-friendliness: There is a little play area for the little ones to help burn there meal off before heading to your destination. Parking: Lots of space to park, sometimes difficult during rush hour through drive through.
Everything was good, but they always forget to put the receipt in the bag and straws for our soda and iced coffee. Some are very friendly, others not so much.Food: 5/5
Almost always fairly busy, the staff isn't always the friendliest, however, they are fairly quick most of the time. Only visited this location a handful of times, our order was wrong only one of those times. Overall good serviceFood: 4/5
Stopped this afternoon for 2 coffees. They were a little busy at the counter but not what I would consider crazy busy. The drivethru had a bit of a line. The reason to explain is there was one person in front of me at the counter when I got there. 2 other groups of ppl formed in behind me. There was a few groups of ppl waiting for food to the left and some ppl using the kiosk. The person in front of me, myself and the two other groups waiting about ten minutes with staff moving around the counter occasionally looking at us but no one mentioned anything to us. Finally the last behind me walked over and asked a girl standing behind the counter but not helping us if they weren't taking orders at the counter. The girl said no we aren't. not one staff member had let us know or even acknowledged us or at the very least have a sign up. I left and went to Tim's instead.
Good thing about McDonald's most everywhere in North America is same fare, same mobile ordering app, same available washrooms, same atmosphere.... Traveler's comfortFood: 3/5
