Semiramis is just the right place for a quality and quick meal where you can see how your food is cooked, but don’t expect it to be a westernized food fare. “People mostly do not know the richness of either the culture or food of Lebanon. Shawarma originates in Turkey (Shah Ouwarma means the King of the Meat), so our Shawarma is fit for a King!” says Rami. Rami is the executive chef and owner of Semiramis and has been working in Mediterranean Lebanese Cuisine industry for over 25 years, creating delicious recipes in Germany, Spain, Brazil and Canada. He and Abby Farrage, an internationally known businessman and investor relations, created Semiramis to promote perfection in Vancouver Mediterranean Lebanese cuisine and entertainment.
Rami Mourawad’s combination of inspiration, experience and wisdom made manifest is Semiramis Mediterranean Mezze Bar, a gourmet restaurant located at 1323 Robson Street in Vancouver, Suite 202.
When you arrive, you are greeted and almost immediately offered Labneh (dry yogurt, home made pita bread and freshly marinated Lebanese pickles) and certainly after dinner, Arabic coffee. Made only with the best of ingredients and prepared in Lebanese tradition, the food is a heavenly sensory experience.
Evening dining is rich in its offerings of both food and entertainment throughout the week. The restaurant design is open, so some of that entertainment comes in watching your meal being prepared. Rami adds, “This place is not just for the weekends, it is everyday stress relief! Come relax. Eat. Drink. Entertain. Anytime!”
