This meijer makes me SICK! They treat their fish like garbage! First pic was their fish tanks in 2021. Last 2 pics are their fish tanks from yesterday 09/17/23. You can’t even see through them! They’re so caked with algae and filth. How are people supposed to buy fish from there? GET WITH THE PROGRAM MEIJER AND STOP NEGLECTING POOR LIVING THINGS!!!
Quality and service has really really slipped . When I go in the store shop and scan is usually not working. So today I ordered pick up. I was second in line, checked in. Third guy pulls up. They load the third, then the first in line then me who was second. Also I declined the substituted items but was forced to take them because the system didn't allow me to complete the decline substitution. Now I'm told I will get the receipt in a couple of days so I can go in the store and return what I didnt want. Useless waste of time.
I’m sick of feeling harassed every time I’m in a single toilet bathroom in a meijer. Spend more than 60 sec and people are banging on the doors to get in like there’s not three other bathrooms. Today, even though I had the door locked, some lady pulled the handle so many times with such force that the lock came undone and she literally came into the locked bathroom where I was trying to do my private business. How insane. And this is t the first time something like this has happened, but definitely the most intrusive.
The hubby and I stopped here briefly, we needed some milk and bananas, lol. So we didn't experience "the full shopping experience." We got what we needed and we were back out quickly. That'll do!
The checkout process is simply broken. Too many of the self checkout registers are either closed or not functioning. During my last couple visits the Shop and Scan registers were either completely down or only had one open. Management can't fix it, they should get on the registers and start rigging up customers. We've given up, we shop elsewhere now. It's a bummer, because I really like having a local store to go to for these kind of shopping needs.
This is not a good place to take 10 minutes to run in for a quick purchase unless you know just what you want and where in the store it is located. In that case the parking spots reserved to do that will be handy. I use the Meijers on 16 and Van Dyke. This Meijers appeared to be twice as large. I had no idea where anything was. It needs a safari to be thoroughly explored.
This is my home Meijer. I have visited several Meijer stores in Michigan and this is by far my favorite. Not because it's right down the road from my home, but because of the layout of the store. Everything is where you can visibly see it and items are easy to find. The store is clean, and the staff are friendly.
During self check out, purple color haired lady with lip piercings overlooking the self check out area came running saying we didn’t scan a lint roller while we were in the middle of scanning. She was loudly saying we didn’t scan the lint roller and then my friend pointed out the lint roller charge on the screen. She was being super friendly with the other customers and it makes me wonder if the color of our skin was too brown. There’s many ways to check this without being rude, she could’ve just walked up to us and asked us or checked our receipt on the way out and ask about lint rollers, there’s many ways to go about it. 250$ worth of groceries and you think we’ll steal a 4$ lint roller, okay. Not coming back here again.
Service sucked. If I wanted to bag my own groceries.i would've went to self checkout. Two registers open. One with two baggers the other customers were baggers
Store is always clean when I go. The staff is usually wonderful. Great selection. Edit: had some bad experiences with the pick up. Probably won't use them for that service.
