I have been working in private practice since 2014. My modalities include client-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapy for adolescents and adults.
Melissa has been with Cedar Ridge Counseling Centers since March 2014 and works with all populations including adults, families, and couples; however, she specializes in work with adolescents and young adults. Melissa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from McDaniel College in 2006 and obtained her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University. She received her LCPC in September 2013.
In the past, Melissa has worked with children with Autism in a group therapy setting at True North Wellness Services in Hanover, Pennsylvania. She has substantial experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and their families. Melissa also has experience in private practice setting working with all age groups. She adopts a cognitive-behavioral and client-centered approach to counseling.
Melissa has experience working with clients struggling with ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Post traumatic Stress Disorders, Depression, Mood Disorders, Anger Management, Adjustment Disorders, Relationship Issues, Eating Disorders, Family Therapy, Parenting Issues, Behavior Management, Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances, eating disorders, and nutritional counseling.
