Excellent beer selection but it could be less expensive. They even have a barrel aged ale that's very good, but $18. Their Prickly Pearadise cider is decent as well.
Staying at the Ritz-Carlton at Northstar, wanted to try a much different experience, a true locals experience to watch the game and drink some beer and eat some food. There's a lot of other options more upscale, geared towards visitors with more gourmet food than burgers, chicken fingers, and fries, but if you want simple tavern food with a huge beer selection and to hangout amongst locals and not tourists, this IS the place to go. I can't emphasize how great the beer/cider selection is. Wine available too I believe. A totally casual Apres-Ski local hangout. Not a big place with a lot of room to sit so get there early or be prepared for standing room only during peak times.
We stopped by for happy hour. We tried all the sliders and a couple of pints. It was all delicious. Outdoor seating is nice. Definitely try the rootbeer on tap, kids loved it
Great beer list and good food. The Cuban was exceptional. Friendly bartender from Prescott even scored me a little Pliny the Younger!!!
Scotty, the bartender, was great and I enjoyed my first ever "blonde" milk stout! I highly recommend this chill but very cool hangout!
Excellent beer selection. Knowledgeable bartenders. Great food. Hard to go wrong.
Friendly bartender, yummy Bavarian pretzel, delicious stout. Great stop!
Don’t order food here if you have high expectations. The menu items sound adventurous and delicious, reminiscent of trendy fusion restaurants in NYC. However, expectation...meet reality. The first warning sign was no one else was eating at 7pm on a Sunday, only drinking. We were still intrigued with the menu and decided to give the food a try. Second warning sign - they were out of chicken when we ordered. How does a restaurant run out of CHICKEN?? We all ordered individual menu items but food came out dish by dish, with at least a 5 minute gap between each one. Dishes were barebones and looked like the chef had been thrown a fancy menu and told to do the best he could. We definitely could have made more appetizing dishes at home. Dishes were also missing ingredients and the meat on my gyro tasted sour. No complaints about their beer selection if you’re just there to drink, but it is pretty hard to mess up beer. Definitely a local spot, especially on Sundays.
Ribs were fall off the bone tender, slightly spicy BBQ sauce was great, good price for a growler of cider.
