I am giving this a 3 star rating for the care of the grounds at Memorial Park in Gainesville. We have numerous family members buried at Memorial park and have been very satisfied with the care received for our loved ones during the planning and funeral process. The issue my family has is the carelessness when the lawn is being mowed . We came by today to remove our dad's Christmas tree and replace with flowers. We found the solar lights to the tree ripped off and the solar box to the lights was no where to be found. Several of the vases around daddy's grave had been bumped with the lawn mower and were barely in the headstone or knocked off completely. These headstones and floral arrangements cost way too much to be this careless and it's just disrespectful. Atleast pick up the mess you create when you mow! You can do better than this Memorial park!
The folks at Memorial Park South are nothing short of extraordinary. Ever since they opened I have gone to a number of funerals here for parents buddies and even enemies. They always handle things so well. Anytime I have ever had to call and get a marker, new vase or repair, the folks have exceeded my needs. Great place and best staff. These folks at Memorial Park South will have my business when the times comes and my goose is cooked!!
In the recent loss of my father-in-law, Memorial Park South was amazing! During such a difficult time, they were ALL so supportive and made the whole process from start to finish smooth and flawless. Sparks Bowers and his staff was very professional, organized, compassionate and sincere. We would highly recommend their services to any family in need. We will definitely use them again when the need arises.
This funeral home and the staff are wonderful. This is the 3rd time in the last few years we have used this funeral home. They are always so helpful and they help you make the decisions you need to make at a sad time. I would recommend them to anyone I know. Thank you ALL for loving on my family! Having my mother pass was the most difficult thing I have had to deal with in my 42 years on this Earth. The funeral director, along with their entire staff, made the process of laying my mom to rest so easy. They are all kind and good people and I would recommend Memorial Park South to anyone who has a family member pass.
Absolutely would not have my family cared for by anyone other than the people at Memorial Park South. My poppa had been sick for so so long. They made us feel like family and took the absolute best care of my precious Poppa. Thanks for everything you guys do, you are truly God’s angels.
This funeral home handled my fathers funeral service nicely. However, after multiple trips and thousands of dollars paid for granite and plaque marker, the woman whose sole job it is to handle that part of the funerary services didn’t even bother to turn in the paperwork to the plant that makes the markers for 2 months. Not until my mother called to find out what the status was, she was told that the paperwork had never even been submitted and that it would be up to 6 more months due to their error plus the backlog from the plant closure for COVID which happened after my fathers paperwork should have been sent in. It has taken threats of legal action to get anywhere and they still cannot give us a tentative date that my fathers marker will hopefully be done. It has caused my mother GREAT pain and suffering seeing my fathers final Memorial be neglected by this funeral home. The woman they have doing their memorial work paperwork is inept and “lost” my moms paid-for marker proofs and invoices TWICE. I wouldn’t trust them to bury a goldfish and put a rock on top of it at this point.
Our family had a family cremation ceremony which was beautiful. Everyone is so kind and sincere. I will soon lose my sister, and intend for them to take care of her also. Highly recommend
As a pastor, I have done many funerals. I did a graveside service today at Memorial Park South. This is the most beautiful cemetery I have ever seen. Amazingly beautiful!
