Menlo Park VA (HVRP)

The methadone clinic is a very good and reliable place to go to if your looking to quit using drugs. The people here are super friendly and kind, and they really do want to help you out here. I reassure you that they want to help you and make sure you never go sick... I love this place it's help me and my fiancée Daniel out so much. I'm so grateful for all the staff there.

This VA has saved my life more than once, do NOT speed when you enter the grounds it’s federal property so no smoking either they will give you a ticket I know from personal experience. Drive like your pulling a hot tub full of molasses. And then slow down. Lol, the speed limit is like 3mph. I’m a veteran so this place is a safe haven for me, if you are a vet and you need help this is the place to go.

I was a resident in both HVRP and 1st Step programs. They are hands down the best rehabilitation program I have ever heard of. The genuineness, sincerity, and overall compassion for veterans here is second to none. Thank you for all you gave me. I can only hope to give back what was so freely given to me. God bless!

I work at the SF VA Medical Center and it's hard to balance the line between patient and employee while being seen there, so I transferred my care to the Palo Alto VA Health Care system, which includes Menlo Park. I am nothing but impressed with all aspects of this facility and I have been seen at a few. It's clean, safe, the staff is courteous and on the ball. They were even able to assist me in a matter that had taken two years to complete. I brought it to their attention and within a week it was resolved. As a Veteran and a VA employee, I am impressed with this facility. I feel other facilities should take note of what they are doing and mirror them. Keep up the great work.

Went there to meet with VASH-HUD Caseworker Gun Ko. He was awesome in helping me get to San Jose to pick out my unit. Thanks Frida Gutierrez for organizing this.

Actually, this hospital called my employee while at work We are in Seattle! I called and talked to the administrator because I felt it was an invasion of my employee's privacy/safety as well as an insult to my small business as they were falsely using my business resources for whatever gain they were seeking. I asked her to contact her tech department or payables department and have them pull the long distance invoice. Hopefully it would tell us WHY a VA Hospital in California was calling my young staff member. "Faye" said she would look into it after she made it clear she was insulted that I asked her to do something out of her scope of influence. I never heard back. I guess I didn't expect to. Its disappointing that our tax dollars are going to poorly run organizations with administrators with no follow thru. The money should be spent on our veteran heroes.

It's a GREAT VA. I'm suspicious of these reviews. I've received better care there than any other place in the nation. I know the current Republican Corporate agenda is to, "Defund, de-fund, and DEFUND..." so they can privatize, so I'm shocked at what I read about the Palo Alto / Menlo Park Health Care System. Yes.. there's come cronyism and nepotism that has been going on for years, but the actual medical, eye, and dental care is EXCELLENT.

What an amazing Christmas volunteer experience watching all these hard working employees that was behind this VA center “Caroling & gifts event” ~Just witnessing all the hard work that went into this VA event made me think so highly of all these people who take care of our Vets & MY FELLOW Vets - since I’m currently serving - A+ !!! High praise for the doctor and nurse of the emergency room early this morning. They went out of their way to figure out what was causing my cheek to swell and become extremely painful. I am so grateful for their thoroughness and kindness. Kudos!
