The Missouri Department of Mental Health is committed to serving all Service Members, Veterans and their families.
This site is designed for both clinicians and the military community (service members, veterans and their families). We look to reduce the stigma for seeking assistance with mental illness and substance use disorders and provide people with information/resources on a wide range of behavioral health topics from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Suicide Prevention, Military Sexual Trauma and more. This site will also promote training to assist clinicians who want to work with service members, veterans and their families and provide professional development resources.
The DMH Service Members, Veterans and their Families Facebook page are an open forum where anyone with an interest in behavioral health issues may inquire or express responsible, respectful opinions. Information shared here is considered public.
To ensure that this page remains a place where everyone feels welcome, we have a few rules. We will remove comments that contain the following:
•Obscene, rude, vulgar, profane, violent, hateful or racist language
•Threats or defamatory statements
•Personal attacks or insults
•Political candidate endorsements or issues unrelated to behavioral health
•Unauthorized advertisements or solicitations
•Comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity
•Off-topic or repetitive posts
•Personal information, including but not limited to address and telephone numbers
