I was the victim of a domestic assault. My physical wounds were rather superficial, but my heart was broken. My blood pressure was over 200. and I needed to be calmed down and be treated for the blood pressure that was dangerously elevated. The kindness and care I received went far beyond treating my physical wounds, and I felt safe and among friends throughout the entire visit. Even your Night Shift security guard was straightening chairs and cleaning up, smiled and chatted with me. It made a horrible experience much better, allowing me a little peace of mind during the hardest of times. Thank you to the entire crew all the way from the Ukrainian admitting clerk to the physicians assistant, the nurses and nurses assistants, and even that security guard, they left an indelible mark on me and I am grateful. Henry.
This is my choice if a hospital is required in the Sacramento area. Either as an out patient or admittance through the ER I’ve always been treated with nothing but care and professionalism. Nurses are great, Hospitalist’s are amazing. If another visit is in the future, I hope it will be a Mercy Folsom.
The emergency room was fantastic. However, I was admitted and things fell by the wayside. I was told by the doctors I could go to Norway upon my release. Not one doctor informed me I was severely anemic and had a three percent iron saturation rate. When my husband came to pick me up, we were asked if he could walk me out. I did not receive discharge papers or have a clue how sick I was. I went on the trip fainted and suffered injuries. Honestly and information would have been deeply appreciated. They wouldn’t do an endoscopy because of my breathing and iron levels, but told me doctor low would do it at his surgery center.
Went in by ambulance for a broken femur that was displaced. In huge and obvious amounts of pain. Get rolled into the er and had to be placed I. A hallway without pain medication. While in a huge amount of pain. Eventually moved to a room, still no pain medication. Finally get pain medication after literally yelling for a nurse, being ignored, yelling for help and being ignored. After about 15 minutes of that I had to pull off my leads to get a nurse to come in and respond to me. Which they did after a few minutes. Still no pain meds. Finally get my first dose with no effect because I have a broken femur. I tell them this and it’s another 30 minute wait. I arrived in the hospital around 8 and it took them three hours to get my pain to a level where I’m not sweating and crying in pain. 10/10 would not return. Broken femur and the most minimal attention by all but one of the female nurses. The best was when I would hit my call button and I could hear them hanging up on me with no response. I wasn’t looking to be pain free. Just a pain that doesn’t hurt so much I’m sweating from it. ER wasn’t even slightly busy that day
Worst experience I ever had at a hospital! Went and for lower back surgery and those lovely beds hit right on my sutures... How can they allow recovery from an operation with a distinct area in the bed that has cross members that run right across your lower back? Then don't even get me started on the nursing staff most are rude and obnoxious and make you feel something less than compassion you would expect from a nurse don't get me wrong there are a couple of good ones but the majority of nursing staff are very condescending and don't have time for you at all this has been the worst experience at a hospital I've ever had and I would never recommend it to anyone even follow up care trying to get some extra bandages because they only give me four to last me till my sutures get out which is not even close to enough so calling back to ask for something else no one knows who to ask or who to talk to and everyone seems like they don't even have time to listen to me so don't even waste your time scheduling anything at this Hospital you will be nothing but disappointed!!!
The intake nurse that prepared me for surgery Roxanne was a delight she explained everything and every step that was going to happen. After surgery the nurse that took care of me on June 6th and 7th went by the initials GG. She was by far the best nurse I have ever had care for me and I have been hospitalized several times for different surgeries over my 65 years. She was very attentive and made my stay very comfortable.
I delivered my first baby here. Had a scheduled induction and then had to get a c section. Regardless, my experience was amazing! The staff was amazing! All the nurses dayshift and nightshift were going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and were there to just chat, even. The doctors all came in and checked up on us frequently. Everyone was very helpful. I will definitely be delivering here again.
Gene was by far the best nurse I've ever had! She is a rockstar and I give her full credit for getting baby in position and my fast labor. She could see where I was tensing up during contractions and helped me relax those areas through massage and verbal reminders to relax my shoulders, jaw, low back etc.. This was my 2nd birth at Mercy Folsom. While my first experience wasn't bad, I never had a nurse or doula as helpful and dedicated as Gene! She was a true blessing and joy to have as a nurse!
Unfortunately, I have been a guest of Mercy Folsom 15 days since late December 2022-June 2023, however, I am doing better and I will be ok because of the highly skilled and trained professionals at this Hospital. They care for the whole body and mind and have convinced me through my Journey, that there could be no other place to treat and care for anyone’s needs better than here. I am new to Western Health Advantage Hills group. Honest to goodness I could do their commercials! Everything is extremely clean, all staff are kind to each other and communicate with both patient and each other. They truly take care of all patients with dignity. I’m so glad I know the huge gap between Kaiser and the Mercy group. I mattered, I was not another number and my case was managed and is continuing to be managed by the very best in the medical and natural healing Industry. I’m on Team Mercy for life!
This was my second stay at this hospital and I must say it was like night and day. My first stay was an absolute nightmare. This stay, however, was extremely good! The nurses were so good to me. I felt like I was being spoiled! The Dr was awesome too. He was so patient explaining everything to me. Thank u for a better experience.
