Everyone here is friendly and helpful, from the doctors and nurses to the valet parking assistants. I like having almost all my doctors in one place, and it beats having to drive to Janesville! I've been seeing Dr Loch weekly for about 8 months and he and his staff have been fantastic! Now that I don't have to go in as often, I'm going to miss them all!
If I could give zero stars I would. Nurse made me feel as if i was making up symptoms in my head and kept making rude comments while "checking me out" ended up putting me back into waiting room at er. The receptionist was yelling at everyone who came in 3 seperate people left because of how rude she was being. Finally after waiting forever I got up and ended up leaving. Save your time they don't seem to care about you or anything going on. Zero stars for me. They should fire that rude woman. What a poor excuse for an er.
Our time here was brief, but unlike our recent experience at OTHER hospitals they treated my son like he matters, took the time to listen to him past his ventilator. They were thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable. I would put my life in their care
Probably the worst experiences I've ever had at a hospital. I gave birth two years ago and I'm still angry about the way Dr. Leach and the rest of the staff treated my family and birthing experience. No wonder he has a handful of lawsuits from other patients. I'm not surprised Mercy is keeping him around - seems to be their m.o.
I had three tests in the Radiology Department today. There was an initial delay caused by my lack of clarity about a prerequisite blood test. Three different technicians juggled the order of my tests and managed to shorten my wait between tests. Each technician was friendly and competent. Thank you!
My mother went here when she was 7 months pregnant. She had trouble breathing so they gave her an inhaler and told her to go back home. After she got home it got worse and was taken to a different hospital where they diagnosed her with pneumonia. She was 7 MONTHS PREGNANT with pneumonia. The doctors at this hospital were upset and bewildered at the previous doctors medical advice. My advice? Go anywhere else
It’s been two years since but I thought I would share my experience with this emergency room. I went to this emergency room twice within a week because my symptoms kept getting worse. I saw the same doctor both times and he claimed that my symptoms were just anxiety. The second time I went my boyfriend’s mom was with me and she insisted that the doctor test me for Lyme Disease. The doctor didn’t want to and was confident that the test would come back negative, well it came back positive. I felt like the doctor thought I was just faking, so I’m really lucky that I had someone there to vouch for me. Otherwise, it would’ve taken even longer to find out I had Lyme Disease and my symptoms would have gotten even worse. Since we live in Wisconsin you’d think doctors would know more about the symptoms of Lyme Disease, especially because it’s so serious.
I took a 5 bypass heart patient with 24 hours of blood pressure at 190 over 100 last night. After over an hour in an empty waiting room he was seen for a total of 10 minutes and not given intetvention. He was given a med to pick up the next day at the pharmacy. I called his regular doctors oncall line. They advised we get back in car and go to their ER my gut initially begged me to just go there. She said universal protocol for 190 over 100 would be to immediately give a form of intervention and not release him until it reaches a certain level. A simple google search shows the protocol is NOT to send him home at 190 over 100, but to intervene until at least 160. So I called Mercy Walworth to see if the doctor would call his med into a 24 hour pharmacy even if I had to drive further. Or have him back in to actually treat him. The doctor got on the phone and TOLD me, my his blood pressure had been high for days, he should have been concerned sooner, and he should not have waited till a short staffed holiday night to suddenly get concerned. I told him it wasnt THIS high until today so he thought he could ride it out a few days and see if it went down. He welcomed me to go seek healthcare somewhere else, he was confident with how he treated him. He was VERY hyper, SMUG, and COCKY. He may have been within his rights and the law to choose his protocol. But just know, it was below and minimum of other local facilities, and he was proud of that when you consider this facility with your urgent needs.
If I could give zero stars I would! This place was so good once. Now all they do is treat you like Guinea pigs and a money maker. I’ve been so beyond mistreated by almost all the female nurses here. They’ve called me horrendous names. Told me I was fat and wore too much makeup. The disrespect and lack of care they show towards patients is beyond me. I will never be coming back here.
I can not express enough of how much I love the labor and delivery unit here as well as the pediatric department. The nurses are absolutely heroic in every shape! I had all 3 of my children here and I always trusted my nurses and doctors to do what was right for us. I have never had a bad experience with Mercy from the ER department to even the cafeteria. Always have encountered friendly staff, doctors, and nurses! I appreciate you all!
