This is by far the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The beds are awful as others have stated. The pillows are ridiculous. The window of the room is huge and the blinds and drapes don’t fully cover it. So at night time it looks like it’s noon day in the room. For someone who sleeps in the dark, sleeping as is it’s the afternoon is the worst. I basically didn’t sleep last night. The walls must be thin, because we could hear the neighbor snoring!! Because we could hear that we turned on the aC. Well that is as loud as a freight truck! Every time it turns on it’s super loud while it’s on. We paid $150 a night for this room and it’s a complete rip off. I would never ever stay here again and hope this saves a lot of people from having the worst night sleep ever!!
I had the most fun here when I was there for a Spartan Race. It was my first. It was brutal. This hotel was amazing and it felt like a home away from home. All sports. All sorts of mementos. A whole wall of motivational quotes. Everything! 10/10 will visit again if in the area.
This place was amazing. We stumbled upon it accidentally at the end of a long day of driving and I'm so glad we did. It couldn't have been more perfect for our family of 9. We had a double queen room joined to a room with 5 bunks. The rooms were very spacious, clean and practical and the price was excellent. Everything looked nice and new. This hotel/resort was designed for travelling sports teams but its a great option for travelling families as well. They have a beautiful outdoor pool, fire pits and sports facilities. The kids also enjoyed the arcade on sight. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Traveled here for a little getaway with my boyfriend. The rooms are really nice, clean, and new. We had a really nice room with a view of the back yard and pool area. The staff at check in, and any staff that we talked to in the hallways were all extremely friendly. The hotel offers free 24 hour shuttles to and from the Eureka Casino, which was a plus. My only complaint was that our room didn't have a mini fridge, but that is just personal preference. We will definitely be back. Beautiful property, and overall great experience.
The grounds here are awesome, my kids loved it. 1. The beds were honestly AWFUL, everyone joked about the crunchy beds 2. There was a single light in each room, I couldn't even read a book in my room. 3. The staff were friendly, except the night lady was cranky as all get out when we asked for a late check out- our options were check out at 11 or pay for another night and then she slammed the phone in my ear. 4. It's a new hotel and it is clean but already looks outdated with the cheaper bathrooms and furnishings. 5. No gym I don't think we will stay here again, but the grounds again are really fantastic and there is a lot to do.
This is a really good place to stay, especially for families! There are so many activities and the pool is amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean with lots of space in the bathroom and a decently comfortable bed. I think the really soft fuzzy blanket at the end of the bed was my favorite, along with the fact that Rising Star was so affordable!
We stayed here as a last minute decision on our way to see family. It was one of the only hotels left with rooms. We liked it so much that we booked another stay on our way back home. Everything is clean and neat. It's a brand new hotel. The cons: it would be nice to have outlets at the bedside table so you can have your phone charging and on hand. They had a charging station in the deluxe room at a desk, but the standard room only had a couple of free outlets on walls. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows were super fat and a bit hard as well for my taste. Pros: nice decor, very clean. A fun place, and family friendly. Restaurant is in house and table space is huge with a game room adjacent to the eating area. They have a backyard area with a field and courts for playing sports. Delivery robot available. Staff are friendly and child friendly too. Overall, we enjoyed our short stays and we recommended this place to our family and will continue to stay here as long as rates are good!
We stayed in the five person bunk room. Terrible. So expensive almost 200.00 with the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on at a hotel. Practically no amenities and there was no main light in our room just in the sink area and bathroom. No fridge, no microwave, and the room was teeny. Not enough room for a chair and table to sit at. Not impressed at all and my husband was embarrassed that we had to spend the night there. The only good thing was the soap and shampoo smelled amazing.
This hotel was a fabulous value. We stayed for just one night, but we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of having the pool, hot tub, and basketball courts with balls you could check out from the front desk. We booked the most basic room, and while it was relatively small, it was clean and had new furnishings. The walls were a little thin, but people were generally pretty quiet, especially after 10 pm.
This place is great in terms of pricing for large groups of people. The rooms have bunk beds and is a decent size. Although the pictures on the website make the rooms seem bigger than what they are, this was a fun experience to bunk with the family in one hotel room for a very reasonable price. Personally, I thought the hotel smelled like sweat but that may be due to the fact that this hotel advertises to sports team accommodations and there are plenty of recreational activities and complexes in the immediate area. This really isn't a big deal, but may be for others. The hotel also offers shuttles to and from the Casino if you stay with them.
