Transit Police is dedicated to public safety on and around Metro Vancouver's public transit system. They maintain the public peace, prevent crime and offences, aid in the administration of justice and enforce the laws of British Columbia. Transit Police (officially the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service) cover the public light rail, passenger ferries, commuter rail and bus services throughout the region as they pass through 22 municipalities and 16 local police jurisdictions.
