If you plan to get a fingerprinting appointment, don't bother. When you call them, you're going to be redirected to an answering machine to their supposed department. Even if you leave a message, on their supposed work day and time, they won't get back to you until 5 work days later. You might as well go to downtown Vancouver to get it done.
When you call 911 they tell you it's not an emergency phone non-emergency line. Great, but when I do, I'm on hold for 1.5 to 2 hours before I finally hang up! This is unacceptabl!! North Van RCMP is never more than a minute or two before you talk to someone in dispatch. If you are not manning the line at all, at least say that and give people an alternative for reporting massive parties on weekend morning. Thanks for nothing.
I wish there was negative star to give to this station.... the worst place to get help or to report anything..... in past few weeks, twice I tried to report and both was disaster and no results thanks to the wonderful police team of West Vancouver..... the first time, I got scammed by a phone call blaming she is from a telecommunication company, I was able to gain the caller's trust, I showed her I'm gonna to work with her, so got her direct phone and other information, she was going to connect me to a local person to continue the process, I even recorded her phone conversation and had all the details. Before meeting the local person, I went to this Amazingly Useless station, even they did not bother listening to my conversation nor the recording, they said WE ARE NOT INTERESTED!!!!! then who is?????? Should I call the Prime Minister for that? even though I don't think he is willing to listen as well... The second time was a few days ago, I saw 3 cars racing in Marine Dr. Google is not letting me to continue my review, I'll fine another way to post it
Every time I have to go to West Vancouver Police Department, I know I will have an aweful time with their reception. The reception there is super RUDE, UNEDUCATED and acts very entitled. For my job, I have to get background check regularly, and here is my experience there: 1- First time, they messed up my finger print and after 2 weeks, I had to do it again. 2- Second time, they made a mistake and my background check didnt come for 2 month. They did not care to follow up with my background check, and I had to call RCMP background check center myself. It took more than 2 month and more than 20 phone calls to get it resolved. 3- Third time, I took a background check and told them I will be moving away from Vancouver, and my friend will pick it up. They said its ok. After 3 weeks of not hearing from them, I called and was informed they mailed the background check to my previous address! I told them I am moving away, but they are too stupid to understand that. sigh!!! All in all, I wish West Vancouver replace this police department with RCMP. Why do we have to pay more to these rude, uneducated and unprofessional people, that even as a resident of West Vancouver, I hate to deal with them! P.S. My complain was mostly directed to the reception, as they are the people who deal with handling paper work of background check!
Waste of space and tax that gets allocated here. Haven’t heard these clowns do anything other than paperwork. Wonder how they are going to gain the communities trust going like this any longer. Lived and grew up in West Van for 15 years. Shame on you for letting down this community.
One star for overall experience. Their officers get 5 stars for hanging out in the bushes all day watching people drive by.
Cop was trying to scare me with a high fine for skateboarding. I said i couldn't pay it and it was unfair. He asked me where i worked and said "oh i've been there. The beer is really expensive there so you can afford this ticket."
Respect for WVPD. 3 visits to our building during the past 2 months by different teams. I have nothing but respect and admiration for WVPD.
Great police department with awesome officers. Their admirable work is much appreciated.
They helped me very well and were really Kind. Thanks
