Extremely nice people that basically got me on my way quick. I just should have remembered to discuss the thickness of the cuts. Don't let my mistake be yours.i thawed out t bones today. One was pretty thin, 1/2". The other was 1/2" at the bone, 1/8" at the meat. How am I supposed to cook that? I won't spend my money there again. The price wasn't discounted because high school kids were actually learning how to cut meat. That's the only way I can justify the cuts. Who would cut a beet loin 3/8" thick? Steaks 1/2". I would steer, no pun intended, clear.i just yawed out a package of tender loin. I hope to make 2 tacos.
Our Hamburger was absolutely terrible. Almost every bite had a chewy nasty hard bit in it. 12 packages in and every single one of them is terrible. We tried thawing it in hot water as well as leaving it out on the counter. Never in the microwave. Steaks were cut good and so have the roast been so far. Unfortunately most of our meat was hamburger that we are more or less going to feed to the dogs now. Complete waste of money, and beef. Def be taking our cows somewhere else next year.
It’s hard for me to leave a negative review for any business, especially small, family run ones. I tried all the cuts of meat before reviewing, and tried to keep an open mind despite customer service failures. However, this butcher was a complete disappointment from customer service to meat processing and flavor. I had two pigs processed a few months ago and gave Christmas hams to some friends. The hams are barely edible. Super salty, with terrible flavor. I feel horrible for ruining their Christmas dinner and am mortified that those hams have my farm name of them. Not sure how they were smoked, because there was no communication with me prior to processing my pigs. I had asked to be contacted early Monday morning, as my work hours were the same as the butchers hours and Monday is the only day I have off. I was told that wasn’t a problem because the gals always in the office early. Instead, I was called Tuesday and Wednesday while at work and then my hogs were processed at the butchers discretion. I understand that butchers are busy, so I figured I’d give their cuts a shot before reviewing. A lot of money was wasted on my end. The primary reason I chose this butcher is the raving reviews on the green Chile cheese brats. I mentioned that to the gal in the office at drop off. I got zero brats, and the pigs were both processed the same so no real variety. The bacon was also very salty but still edible and not terrible, but the sausage was good. Aside from ham and bacon, the other basic cuts were fine. Over all, customer service and general quality were total disappointments. Probably 50lbs of meat wasted on the inedible hams.
Been bringing my Wild Game here for years, Gale and Chad along with their crew always do Awesome Work.
I will not take my beef or pork any where else to get processed.. they do an AWESOME job and are very friendly.
I used to work here, so I've seen what goes on behind the doors. What I've seen time and time again is quality work from honest, fair people.
Great service, always welcoming.
Awesome folks
