After graduating from Appalachian State University in 1997 I spent the early part of my career with Deloitte & Touche, a national CPA and Consulting firm. As a Senior Tax Consultant I worked with large corporate clients with revenues as high as $300 million. This experience was invaluable, however, my desire to work more closely with small and medium sized businesses and individual clients led me to reposition my career to the regional/local firm environment. I subsequently spent several years with a multi-office firm that focused on small, medium and closely held businesses. I have managed both tax and audit clients serving their needs in a broad range of areas including tax consulting and compliance, audit, review and compilation, financial accounting, debt restructuring and business advisory services.
After beginning my own practice in 2006, I have used my national firm experience and training in tandem with my regional/local firm client service background to create a unique niche which focuses on the needs of small to medium sized businesses and their owners providing a high degree of technical expertise coupled with strong advisory relationships with my clients. My business philosophy is simple. I believe in providing every client, whether a business or an individual, with unparalleled client service and becoming an advisory partner in my clients businesses and financial affairs and not simply a year-end contact. My clients know that they have access to me at any time for any reason and we work closely together throughout the year.
