Michaels inventory seemed very low. Also there was a long wait to check out. The cashier was awesome once we got to her. She definitely deserves a raise because she needed help and yet she remained cheerful despite being overwhelmed
Do not order online from here. I order same day shipping and it's been 3 days and still have not received my order. I have contacted costumer service who assured me that i was going to get my order delivered the next day which didn’t happen and that i was going to get a refund for paying extra for the same day delivery which has not happened neither. I have had 2 delivery drivers who have texted me that they have gone to this store to pick my order and that it they say it’s not ready. It’s not a complicated order neither. Save your self a struggle on don’t order online here.
Very nice staff though too few and shelves well stocked. Great sales too! If you want to work in a fun place, they are hiring.
This store has recently become one of my least favorites. The service is not good, and they now have four self checkout stands and only two cashier checkouts. When I was just there nobody was ringing out and the whole line of people had to check themselves out, when they were clearly employees.
Arrived to pick up my internet order. Realized I ordered the wrong size of ribbon, so I thought I will just grabbed the right one and return the internet order and be on my way. Nope! At the time of return, I couldn't return and purchase at the same time. Then I was given the option to return for store credit, even though I paid on card. Next my return was $3 less than what I paid and when I questioned it the cashier told me their policy is to give the lowest price in the past 30 days, even though I purchased the item 5 hours early and had literally just picked the item up in the store 3 minutes early and the receipt was still attached to the bag. Lastly, it took the manager FOREVER to come do the initial return to my card as opposed to in store credit and then a second time to provide the difference in return value. I understand everyone is understaffed, hence the 2 star because maybe this is the best they can do with what is available.
I ordered on line and realized immediately that I had the wrong store. I couldn't cancel online for some reason so I called and was assured it would be canceled. Nope! I received notification that my order was ready so I called them again. Same thing but NO they still didn't cancel the order. Three days later and many calls. It's still not canceled!!!??? This is unacceptable and will keep me from ordering from them ever again.
I've been shopping at this Michaels for a little over a decade. I've lived in Lakewood for more than 20 years of my adult life. I always loved this store. But my finances have changed the last few years, and I wasn't able to shop there as much as I used to. I used to be there at least once a week, but the last 3 years or so, I went just a handful of times a year. I started shopping there more often within the last 6 months, and I can not believe how much it has changed! The employees will ignore and avoid you. They have no idea where anything is when you can finally get someone's attention. The guy who works there in the evening is really annoying, fake nice. I've always shopped later in the evening, due to my work schedule, and I'm usually there until they close. This guy will pester you until you're out the door, but he'll do it in a way that makes it seem like he's being polite. Passive aggressive is the term. The carts are in dire need of replacing, they make the worst squeak/squealing sound as you're pushing them along. One day I tried 5 different carts, and they all did this! It's very disturbing when you're trying to shop to hear carts all over the store making this noise. Maybe get some wd40 if new carts are not a possibility? Buying craft Supplies is supposed to be a peaceful experience, not an irritating one. I kind of wonder if this is some kind of training they have received to get customers to keep their visit short. I have also had a negative experience ordering through the app for pickup. I ordered several things, and most of them were out of stock. Why do you allow me to order if you don't have it?! I decided I just wouldn't pick up the order and it would be cancelled, obviously, right? WRONG! A few days later, a whole day after it said it would be put back, I get a message thanking me for picking up! I received that message on another order too, a couple weeks later. I hadn't had time to pick it up but I had just ordered the day before. One upside to ordering through the app i found, is that if you want to locate an item that's not at your local store, you can find it without driving all over the place with uncertain results. I wanted something that was only in stock on s Colorado Blvd but I didn't want to drive all the way only to find out when I get there that it wasn't really available, so I ordered it online and waited until it said it had been picked and was ready.
This store is laid out nice, clean, and easy to find items. There are a lot of options. Great seasonal items. Staff seemed helpful.
Love how this turned out. Two week turnaround and was thrilled when I saw it. Great customer service.
The reason this store is so nice to go to is the people that work there are not only friendly, but go out of their way to help you. Many times they know the craft or can point you to someone who does if you are unsure of the product, and they do everything they can to help you get what you need.
