This is a sad totally rundown campground. $45.00 for the night was overpriced and I wonder how this looked when first opened. NOT a place for kids! Pool unusable, playground just scary and overgrown. If you can boondock stay at Walmart. If you have to stay here just understand you can't eat or sit at the broken picnic tables. Clearly some campers haven't moved or been lived in, in years. Appears a homeless person lives there also? Just avoid it if possible :
Stay away from this place ! It is completely dilapidated. The Entrance sign rusted and torn in to bits , the roads are full of huge pot holes, grass ., well actually there is no grass ..just overgrown weeds and burrs .The few trees that are there are overgrown with dead limbs handing off .The actual registration building is disgusting ! It’s the worst hoarder situation inside I have ever seen . A complete fire hazard .I have no idea how it passes inspection at all . We pulled in because it is right off highway and gas station . Drove thru to check it out , went inside office to see the horror show and immediately left . I actually reported this site to Good Sam to see how in the world it passed their inspection.should have called the local fire dept also , but didn’t . We have been RVing since 1994 across this country several times and have never run across a campground in this condition . Keep driving and stay safe .
Glad we didn’t have our dog.. huge stickers in our shoes, socks, pants.. awful
Looks like this use to be a nice RV park. It is paved to the sites but be careful, there are some huge potholes. The sites have concrete pads. But be very care of sites with trees. Some should be trimmed so they don’t attack your rig. It is full hook-up large RV park that was mostly empty the night we stayed. There is a Truck Stop within walking distance. Some picnic tables broken. Strong WIFI, Verizon, US Cellular. There was no one in office when we arrived. We used drop box to pay. People with dogs – beware – the grass is weeds and COVERED with sticky burrs. If you need a full hook-up one night pit stop then this would do. $40 a night for 30 amp. Too bad, I would have liked to see it when it was smart looking.
Easy to get to from I-70. Older park so nothing fancy. Water, sewer and electric all work fine. We had a nice pull through spot with picnic table and tree. Karen is super sweet lady in office. She really made our overnight special.
This is a good place to pull off the freeway and stay for a restful evening or more. The park is full hookup and reasonable for the traveler who does not want to pay for the pool or other amenities that you aren't going to use anyway. The lady who runs the place is supper nice and helpful. They accommodated our truck with camper pulling a cargo trailer plus a car pulling a cargo trailer no problem.
Very friendly host! Overnight stay only as we were traveling through.Location: 5/5
Good Price for 70 ft+ pull through full hookups. Karen was very nice. Office was a mess, thought I had walked into horder's home. Cement pad was broken and uneven. Grounds needed maintenance. Can't believe this place is AAA approved.
Called for an overnight. Person I spoke with was very friendly. Received a site. Unfortunately we had some tire issues, and couldn't make it that far. We had to stay at a less friendly place. But we stopped at a truck stop right beside this campground the next day. The sites looked great. Shady, and large sites. All sites had picnic tables. Wish we could have made it to this campground instead of where we stayed, at Creekside in Hays Kansas.
Great for an overnight break from fighting the I-70 winds all day. This place isn’t pretty, but remember if our camper has all the necessities like water/power/sewer, no real need for any other amenities. Older RV business, but in that the elderly owner was very kind and thankfully she had a place for us to regroup and head west! Take note-if you are coming in at night, the potholes are significant, so take it slow. Stay humble, stay kind, and carry on. It’s a good place to rest, not reside. Safe travels everyone!
