Middletown Public Library

It's a very clean and nice library. The staff is friendly. Usually it's quiet when I'm there. The WiFi connection is not set to a secure connection. Using an iphone or ipad on WiFi will show you if the connection is not secure. This is an easy fix for their IT department. I use my cell provider connection, but that is also slow inside the library.

My kids and I come here often usually my three youngest sometimes my oldest daughter joins us along with two other women every time we try and go in the craft room they tell us that they're going to shut the door take some of the arts and crafts out into the other area and let us have the room and at first I thought they were being really nice until one of the librarians came up to me and told me that I had to reserve the room that I have not even asked for the door to be closed on because I have no regard for people that want to do crafts mind you I have never once asked to the door to be closed they have done it all on their own and if I had no regard for people that wanted to do crafts I would reserve the room and make it so nobody can use it during that time instead of just using it like everybody else does. recently my daughter had checked out a couple of movies misplaced one we had to build up of fines with the kids in this placing things and not getting them in on time they did the right away you're fines. Right before August started they had told me my daughter's fine was at $9 for the movie she had checked out five from the last time it was late and it was 4 days late at this time and they can only charge you $5 unless it was renewed and then they could charge another $5 if it was late again. We listen to the woman and didn't renew it I left the other dollar go on for the next day so the fine was maxed out and then brought in the read away your fines for my daughter which was 2 hours worth and that takes away $10 and fines. Yesterday we went there and we were told she still had $5 in fines on the movie and also another $5 in fines for other books that had already been taken off and weren't there when I had spoke to them previously now all of a sudden these fines are suddenly there and only $5 has been taken off from the $10 fine that she had it is absolutely ridiculous that they are bullying a 11-year-old girl who was in tears because she couldn't check out a book

Such a peaceful place to read, work, browse their inventory of books and videos. A very calming atmosphere. A pleasure to spend time there.

Good selection, nicely laid out sections, clean bathrooms. Unfortunately not part of the Monmouth Library System.

The library is beautiful and the children's section is wonderful. Arts and crafts, computers, puppets and plenty of books. The staff is super friendly. The app allows you to check books out on your phone and your free membership comes with access to lots of digital content audio books, ebooks, tv shows, movies, etc.. You can put books on hold and pick them up in the outside lockers.

I love the library. I put a book on hold and then immediately they have it. And when I want to relax I can read my books there by the fire.

Very nice, clean, extra meeting rooms, separate children's area. Good parking!

I grew up going to the Middletown Public Library. I enjoyed renting movies as a kidinstead of borrowing books, but now I am a big reader and love the value this library offers to all of its customers. Take the time to explore the resources this library offers and pick up a new book. Always room to learn, improve, and get lost in a book.

Excellent selection of books and video. Friendly staff. This library is well worth the tax dollars spent.
