when I first started at Midwest I had just graduated high school.Excited and intimidated to take my next step. Starting I’ve never held a pair or clippers or shears in my life. Not only did Mr.J and Sarah show me how to cut hair, they have also taught me many valuable lessons to carry on through my career. This school will definitely benefit any coming up barbers in the area !!!!
This school as great as it is in teaching the art of cutting hair its more than just that. Its helps you grow in every single aspect of life. Mr jackson and Sarah are always hands on and love to help students. They do their job the best of there ability and always strive to make it better for everyone. I recommend this school if you are looking to improve both character and barbering skills. Im extremely grateful and humble to say i went to midwest barber academy.
I decided I wanted to learn how to cut hair and wanted to go to school to get my license and hopefully make a career out of this. This was the first school I came to look at and when I talked to the owner he talked to me genuinely to see if this is what I really wanted to do and not just waste my money. Once I started I saw that the teachers really care about their students and want them to see them do good for themselves, the school is also very hands on which helps to learn faster and get more reps. Once I was close to being done with the program they made sure i was prepared to take the state exam. I recommend this school to anyone who is interested in being taught properly how to cut hair and become a licensed barber.
This school is the most professional and efficient barber school I’ve ever been to. Mr.J is very knowledgeable and a great person to talk to about your barber career. This school will get you from point a to point b fast. I enrolled in February 2022 with not even picking up a clipper or comb and now I graduated in March 2023 and now full time barber at Shall Prosper almost ready to quit my other job. I highly recommend this school it will benefit anybody greatly!
If you’re looking for a barber school stop searching Midwest is the best school in the area by far, the way Mr. J and Sara run this school is everything and more than you can ask for from the hands on experience you get on the floor with the abundant amount of walk ins compared to other schools to the actual classroom where they make sure you leave more than ready for that state exam. The school really takes care of you and makes sure you leave with the ability to go out and cut any head that comes your way, I highly would recommended anyone of any age going to Midwest‼
If you’re looking for the perfect Barber Academy to attend you’ve found it. Midwest Barber Academy gives quite the experience. I recently graduated from here & recommend this school as a first choice. From start to finish the guidelines were clear, the courses were interactive, fun & inclusive. The environment is clean & friendly. Most importantly all of the hard work you put in pays off in the end. I now have my Barbers license because of the great curriculum & instructors at Midwest Barber Academy.
Hands down the best barber school in the Midwest. The instructors will go above and beyond to assist the students and they make themselves available when additional help is needed. While attending the school, you will see different textures walking in and it allows for a true barber learning experience. Definitely don’t regret being a student. I highly recommend the school as I was fully prepared for my barber state exam and passed on the first try without any issues. The school maintains a clean and professional appearance and ensures every client leaves content with their cut.
Midwest barber academy is by far the best school I’ve ever attended. The atmosphere, the teachers and the system of learning is on point. I went to school not knowing how to cut. I didn’t even know how to hold a clipper. After 6 months I was able to cut hair, I was good enough to be able to put my skills to the test at a real shop. Mr. J is a great teacher, he puts you on with a system and makes sure you master it while guiding you through the whole process. In this school the relationships you build with others is like family. You learn a lot of respect. Not only do you learn how to cut hair, but you learn other skills that will help you succeed in the barbering industry. Mr j is understanding and he has a great system when it comes to running the school. A system that prepares you for the real world. You’ll learn that there is more to cutting hair than just cutting hair. If I could start my journey all over again I would, because everyone at Midwest barber academy made it a great experience. It’s a 10/10 in my book, it’s a place I’ll never forget. A place where it all started.
So I am one of the students that wanted to give a review after completing the whole program and I just wanted to say this place is an amazing place to actually learn how to cut hair. they will not let you leave this place until you actually learn how to cut hair. The school prepares you by giving you real clients and hands on work, and it’s all being supervised by the instructors. I would like to thank every instructor that works there. You guys helped a lot of students that wanted to learn how to cut hair and made them feel like home.For every person that is looking for school that wants to learn how to cut hair and actually get their license I recommend this place 100%. My Experience At Midwest Barber Academy Helped Me Gain The Necessary Tools I Needed To Become A Professional Barber. I Gained Strong Relationships With My Fellow Classmates And My Mentor Mr. J.
