Went there and used the front phone; the person who answered sent me across the street to get a free scale ticket. Once you get the ticket, you should call the number the person gave you to call back. They tell you to back up into the cave. I was quickly loaded, but I had to wait about 15 minutes for paperwork.
no too bad a little confused, is a cave believe the brokers supposed to give some direction because you have to call shipping before you get there so they give some instructions about where to go to get a empty weight ticket and then call again and they going to give you a door or go to staging area if they are no ready for you also when you do check in bring the ticket from scale and license
Not bad for my first time at this cave. You need to go park in the yard about 0.5 mile south of the cave. Call them, and check in while you’re parked at the yard. They will give you instructions as long as you have the right pick up number and close to your appointment time. I did just that, I came here 1pm for 2pm and they told me to come in right away. Loaded and Out of the cave in an hour.
The ladies in the recieving office & the guys on the dock are very nice & move quickly. I was unloaded in about 45min the 1st time I was here. On my 2nd trip delivering here I arrived at 11 for a noon appointment & wasnt unloaded til 1630. Very disappointed considering my 1st experience here. I suppose its hit or miss.
Was a hour early and waited for 4 hours.. then after a phone call I made from the holding area to the office they still could not give me a loading time, they went on about how the customer has to approve something. So why would you put the load on the board? I cancelled it. Just said no, I’m not waiting on your incompetence. Rude staff, entitled, don’t come here if you have a choice.
Do not go directly to the location. They want you to park at a bullpen lot at 4210 about a half mile south and call them. Have an alternate plan if you have Verizon Wireless—I got zero bars in that lot, and not much better when I parked in a lot next to the truck scale west of there on Radio Road. They call you when they are ready for your and tell you to drive into the cave, go all the way to the end, and park at the stop sign. Go into the office you will be walking in mud to check in and get a door assignment. This is an old mine, so you’ll be going around the huge columns holding up the roof and picking your way through—they’ll give you a map, take your time and you’ll find your door. Not very efficient people in the office but the loaders are good.
the employees are just rude, I was an hour late and they said everyone go and wait in the parking lot, and I waited 5 hours and they called and said pay for being late! i gave the card but they said only cash and i went to find an atm and after 20 minutes came back and they say that we are all closed we will not loading today! they just made fun of it!!!!
We need to go uphill. follow the signs to the office. Then you need to go to the office, fill out the paperwork, they will give you the door to which you need to go and then return back to the office. The download is fast, the telephone connection in the cave does not catch. The people in the office are very friendly and nice. A good place.
Go to staging area 1st !!!!!!! It's 1/2 mile south from entrance and call them they will have u wait n staging area till they call you and give u a dock....If u go into caves without staging first u will jam up traffic in caves and be scorned by shipping/receiving.. Loading was very fast .. like 20 mins fast....
The place is easy too get in and out of. It's always a nice temperature in there. You have to stage just down the street whether you are loading or unloading. The only thing I don't like about the place is that a lot of it is covered in mud. You get it in your truck, on your clothes and it's slick to walk on. Having said that, it is a mine after all but mud is still mud regardless. Over all, it's not a bad place to deliver our pick up from.
