A living memorial to the Holocaust, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum inspires citizens and leaders worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum reaches out beyond the four walls of the Museum to cities and towns across the United States, working to ensure the permanence of Holocaust memory, understanding, and relevance.
Through traveling exhibitions, educational and public programs, and relationships with a variety of partners, the Midwest Regional office seeks to ensure people in our communities learn and act upon the lessons of the Holocaust.
The Midwest Region raises over $7 million annually for the Museum and holds the largest and most important event each year, the Risa K. Lambert Chicago Luncheon.
With its office located in the Chicago metropolitan area, the Midwest Region includes: Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York (upstate), North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
