Millcreek is a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility specializing in treating children and adolescents ages 6 - 21. Many of our children suffer from emotional disorders and behavior disorders such as: Severe acting out behaviors, Bipolar, Depression, Mood Disorder, Aggression, Poor Impulse Control, Anxiety, High risk behaviors, Self - injurious behaviors, Psychosis, ADHD/ADD, Oppositional Defiance, Conduct Disorders, Parent-Child Conflict, Reactive Attachment, Inappropriate/Disruptive Behaviors, Trauma Victim, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Millcreek also offers schools in Pontotoc, Batesville, Greenville and Strarkville. These schools are for children struggling in the regular classroom setting, and needs a more structure environment. All children in our School program must have a Special Ed. Ruling. Our Schools stress the importance of the individual and the belief that each student must be recognized as unique. Millcreek schools are accredited through the Missississippi Department of Education.
Both programs, PRTF and School, provide individual and group therapy by a licensed therapist. Each child is also followed by a psychatrist.
Our programs function under a medical model, taking a cognitive behavioral team approach to treatment, and works to reaunite children and adolescents with their families and back to their regular school.
