If you like rocks or have kids, you’ll love this place. Free, quiet, and lots to look at. Bring cash for the gemstones and fossils for sale — great prices and my crystal collecting kids were absolutely thrilled.
Beautiful hidden gem - literally. Open Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm and no admission fee. Exhibits for all ages and you may just catch some specialized knowledge personally from the curator or a professor or student in the geology department passing by. Fossils, minerals, rocks!
My first time to the museum and it was fantastic. Lots of specimens and the expert was quite knowledgeable, so much so she and my child had a 10 minute conversation in paleontology. Thank you . Will go again this summer.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Very small, not marked outside of the building but interesting exhibits and free.
Great exhibit. Admission is free, but they have rocks and fossils for sale profits go towards the university and museum. There’s actually a lot to see and learn. They also have some activities for the kids like fossil digging. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Fantastic Display no tourist pollution
We spent five days here with Beyond Classrooms and couldn't have asked for a better person to spend our time with. Mark, The curator of The Miller Museum of Geology, is incredibly knowledgeable and personable, there wasn't a question he couldn't answer! It may be a small museum but the quality is fantastic. I have never held a meteorite before and to hold the largest ever recovered was an amazing experience! I was very impressed with the quality of the exhibits and attention to detail that has been put into them. The augmented reality sand box is unbelievable and just goes to show how much care and effort is put into this museum. A little gem, hidden in Queens but a real must see.
Great place for a class to go!
Great rocks and fossils!
