“To provide character building for at-risk students in Milwaukee Public
Schools and provide nutritious food to low-income children and the elderly." - George Neurether

- Develop character building programs for at risk students attending Milwaukee
Public Middle or High Schools.
- Provide healthy and nutritious food to low-income elderly in the city of
Milwaukee.
- Provide healthy and nutritious meals to low-income children of Milwaukee Public
Schools who attend after-school programs.
- The goals listed above will be accomplished by:

program) providing free healthy and nutritious groceries to the low-income
elderly living in their neighborhood.
Each collaboration effort between MFFT and a Milwaukee Public School will include the following:
- A year round elective/service learning course or an after school program for
students. Course to be co-taught by a staff person of MFFT and a MPS teacher or
a school social worker.
The curriculum will include a volunteer opportunity to provide low-income
elderly with free groceries, social interaction between students and the elderly and
character building lessons on how to become a well-rounded person for life.
- Structured time for students to reflect by thinking, discussing and writing about
their service experience.
- Opportunities for students to use skills and knowledge in real-life situations.
- Extended learning opportunities beyond the classroom and into the community.
- Foster a sense of caring for others.
- Provide hot and nutritious meals to low-income children attending
Milwaukee Public Schools.
