A Buddhist Sangha in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. We warmly invite anyone interested in meditation, mindfulness in daily life, and the Buddha's path.
At the Mindfulness Center we offer daily opportunities for morning or evening practice and sangha building. We invite you to come and join others in sangha, or spiritual community, who share the value of mindfulness in every day life. Our centers offer free instruction, meditation practice with and without group discussion and Buddhist reading, Insight/Vipassana practice, meditation meeting for recovery and addiction, mindfulness for healing and health management, sutra chanting, 14 Mindfulness Trainings study group, and other short term/specialized classes. Unique to our center, we also offer Engaged Buddhism volunteer opportunities, partnered with community organizations to deepen and share the practice of mindfulness. Please visit our website for our most up to date information, class descriptions, and upcoming events. You may find us at our East Side (1922 E Park Place) or South Side (3211 S. Lake Dr) locations. Free meditation instruction is offered at the East Side location on the third Sundays of January, April, July and October from 12:30pm to 1:30 pm. Free meditation instruction is offered at the South Side location on the third Thursday of each month at 6 pm. You may also visit our website for a "how to meditate" tutorial. All are welcome to join us. There are no dues or fees – we are funded by your kind donations. A lotus to you.
