As a licensed clinical social worker I work with children, teens and adults to improve their overall health and wellbeing both as an individual and/or as a family. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2000 with a bachelors in psychology. I worked full time for 3 years at Hampstead Psychiatric Hospital on the children's unit. I earned a masters in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire in 2004. I have been working for over 10 years as a clinical therapist in a community mental health setting primarily with children, adolescents and families.
I believe that we were all born with an intuition as a means of helping us make decisions regarding our health and wellbeing. I believe that we learn through life and childhood experiences to ignore those intuitions in order to meet our society's expectations of what is normal. I believe that by learning how to balance our body, mind, and spirit by gaining a better understanding of ourselves and our struggles along with making healthy lifestyle changes we can find a life of peace and happiness. I use a variety of techniques to accomplish this goal depending on the age of my client.
My areas of interest and experience are: holistic and spiritual which includes ayurvedic health, sensory processing and spectrum disorders, anxiety and depression, adhd and executive functioning, food addictions, gender identity, parenting and school advocating.
