There are a lot of homeless people in this park that look like they have substance abuse issues. Ventura ambassadors are often locking the bathroom doors earlier than other parks. This is probably an okay park for taking a dog to, but I would not take small kids here or if they are adults. If you like giving back to the community by doing trash pickup, this is a great park and one of the reasons why I go there. Restrooms: The restrooms are usually locked early because of the homeless congregating in them, and then they are off and filthy and sometimes have blood on the floor. Women and children should be accompanied by someone who can protect them if they go into the bathroom. Dog-friendliness: I would say this park is dog friendly. Picnic area: This park is not a romantic place to have a picnic, but if you needed a place to eat in a pinch it would work.
It's cleaner than before. On Mondays the bathrooms stay close. Great place to do yoga, play catch, soccer and other stuff. During events this park is used and gets full. Great view to the mission. Two lovely water fountains, great photo opportunity. Perfect for picnics.
Small park, nice open space. Huge tree, good view of the mission, public bathrooms.
It's a rather smallish park. It's across the street from the Mission. Don't be there after dark.
Grate mini adventure if your new to town or like myself finding out new this about your city you never knew existed.
The best thing about mission park is the art VC art market on the 2nd Saturday of every month. It's the best thing that will ever happen to you.
The Parks Division maintains 39 traditional parks in addition to neighborhood, pocket, and linear parks totaling over 600 acres for residents and visitors to enjoy. Each park offers visitors a unique outdoor experience ranging from hiking trails with panoramic coastline views to picnic areas with BBQ grills near the beach.
Open grassy area. Beautiful huge fig tree. Nice fountains and pictures ops. Also, a huge chair to take pictures on
Restroom is closed most of the time. This is a problem in a downtown with virtually no other public restrooms.
