Great place to visit even if you are not a sports fan. It's very nicely organized with a video to orient you to its purpose and interactive exhibits. We didn't get to see all of it due to carpet maintenance, but we'll be sure to go back and finish. The staff were very personable and accommodating. It covers all sports and players, past and present who have hailed from the state or played for the state. Some present names haven't been inducted due to lack of tenure, but the staff will explain the parameters.
This was my first stop when I got to Jackson, I'm a huge sports fans and like to enjoy sports museums for states who have them, so this one was a no brainer. When you first open the door you are greeted by an older women and gentlemen, both very nice folks. They have you watch about a 10 minute video on Mississippi sports, very nice short film. At first glance, I was amazed how clean and nice the museum was. As I proceeded to all of the memorabilia, I was impressed on the set up and how much stuff they had on display for all of the different athletes. I highly recommend making this one of your stops when visiting Jackson. You won't be disappointed if you're a sports fan.

Wow! We visited the MS Sports Hall of Fame and I was amazed at how much talent was birthed here in MS. This hidden gem is a great reminder that you are not defined by where you live. Greatness is birthed and your talent will make room for you!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
This place was kind of small. Not a lot to look at. Should j just be free to get in. Gift shop is so lame even the employees were apologizing for how terrible it was. It’s so bad the employees told us not to buy the Pom poms because the first shake you give them it falls apart. Not something I would waste my time going to again.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
The facility was very nice and originally would've recieved 5 stars from me. However when I asked about why there wasn't any steve McNair memorabilia. The lady said they a lot it's just not on display because he was murdered, which is why it should be out on display. also there was very little in Marcus Dupree & only 1 tiny article on steve McNair both of which were basically tucked away hidden in a closed off section. I feel like peoples personal biases and opinions should not overshadow what these missiapians talents and legacies. I was considering purchasing a lifetime membership but after that talk I was turned off & probably won't return. Which is unfortunate because the facility it very nice
The MS Sports Hall of Fame is a nice commemoration of the contributions MS athletes have made to sports. The exhibits were well designed and interesting. The high school athlete section seemed to be just thrown together but overall a nice place to visit.
If you see to sports face of MS, visit the great museum! Nice and cool…
