Behind-the-scenes, celebrities like Nina Debrav, Tyra Banks and J-Lo put their covetable locks to the test on a daily basis, what with all the hot lights, long hours, frequent coloring and constant heat styling. So, how do they pull off gorgeous hair that lands them on the red carpet leader board every time?
Mitch Stone, an academy award-winning stylist who has tended to those same tresses, clears up the mystery with his new line of multi-tasking hair formulas, Mitch Stone Essentials. “From many years working on set, backstage at runway shows, and with private clients, I know that the foundation for beautiful hair is healthy hair,” says Stone. “I’ve always thought styling products that stay on the hair for hours could offer something beyond cosmetic benefits like shine, volume or control. What if they also provided substantive hydration, nutrition and environmental protection to the hair?”
The first quartet of formulas from Mitch Stone Essentials focus on styling with plenty of fringe benefits. Lustre Drops is a shine serum that locks in smooth style and resists humidity. Volumizing Texture Spray is a fine-haired girl’s best friend. Session Spray and Set In Stone offer light and firm hold respectively, and address different styling needs. All four contain the proprietary complex VCompS, a potent tropical cocktail of vitamins, minerals and papaya that repair damage, strengthen and protect.
VCompS contains vitamin E for color protection and split end prevention, vitamin C – a highly effective antioxidant that protects cells from environmental free radical damage, vitamin B3 for moisture and emollience, B5 for its reparative properties, B6 for stimulation of hair growth and papaya extract - a powerful antioxidant that is rich in moisturizing essential fatty acids (EFAs).
Consumers are increasingly seeing the value in products that multi-task.
