Martin Luther King Jr. Association is a non-profit organization formed in 1988 by George Williams, Judy A. Prejean and the parents of the 1988 MLK Jr. Pageant. We encourage and help develop children in their talents. To promote an atmosphere, which fosters self-esteem and show respect for others. We help to provide children with educational activities and tours. We sponsor an annual trip to Selma, AL every first week-end in March. In 2015 we will celebrate the 50th year anniversary of Crossing of the Edmund Pettius Bridge.We participate in the re-enactment of Bloody Sunday. We sponsor the annual MLK Jr. Pageant in Lafayette, La., Pageant Contestant participate in the annual Jubilee Pageant in Selma, AL and tour several museums
