As of June 1, 2016, Modesto Christian School is owned by Modesto Christian School, Inc., a nonprofit whose founders and governing board are a group of passionate leaders who have the expertise and resources required to take MC to its highest potential in every way.
Modesto Christian School was founded in 1962 by Pastor Roy Blakeley and was one of thirty charter member schools of the Association of Christian Schools International. Pastor Blakeley's vision was to have a school that would assist and support parents in their responsibility for teaching, training and preparing their children for life. This could be accomplished through an excellent, Christ-centered education in which God and His Word serve as the foundation for all learning and living.
The Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School and High School make up the educational program at Modesto Christian School. Located on a nearly 30.9 acre campus, MCS functions as a traditional school within a Christian environment.
