1905: Founded by Rudolph F. Momeier at 100 Church St. in Charleston.1962: R.F. Momeier died; company passed to his nephew, G. Harry Momeier.1966: G.H. Momeier died; company passed to his sons, Fred “Fuzzy” Momeier and Harry Momeier.Circa 1974: Momeier Electric moved briefly to 160 Church St., where Tommy Condon’s is now, before moving to 103 Logan St. in downtown Charleston.1978: Momeier Electric was sold to Barney Tennyson, company accountant, who kept the company’s name.1980: Momeier Electric expanded with two locations, one downtown on Logan Street and another on 2033 Cosgrove Ave. in North Charleston.2003: Tennyson sold the company to Ed Scarpa of Sullivan’s Island.2004: Scarpa closed the downtown Charleston site.2011: Scarpa died.
