"The story"..........................................................................
...Whether we are in Africa or America and in accordance to some interstellar rule of the Universe, we indisputably get a “chance or two" what we call- a "defining moments", often seemingly invisible and unforeseeable but if we hank to it and work hard to contribute to the universe and “float on the surface” then the very same Universe will reward us with a rich life full of experiences, places to travel to, wonderful people that we meet on these travels, cultures to learn, exciting food to taste, awesome wine to drink… and eventually money comes along too…
…In academic life we have “mentors” to chaperon us in wet and dry and when our life plays jeopardy with us...
I could never afford that so unfortunately I never had “mentors” but instead had one or two guys that played roulette on me i.e. gave me a chance…
My two “bet on me” guys were Mr. Ingemar Galeus, a wealthy lab owner from Göteborg comfortable enough to play golf and fiddle with his toy boat and let me instead play with his implants department where eventually I started catering even to the legend himself- Professor Brånemark, a person considered to be invented modern osseointegrated implants. The other was Mr. Robert Gottlander, then young “American returnee”, a young ambitious Swedish manager of a world largest dental implant manufacturer who spend several years in US and returned back to “ a little rainy village of Göteborg” that saw something in a weird stubborn guy (me) who was sitting there day & night in that oily R & D
basement of the world leading dental implant manufacturer trying to grind and shape that “darn CP Ti”(i.e. Commercially Pure titanium, Grade 2; LOL) until it looked and felt like a gold casted implant framework… the rest is the history my gosh…
However followed were few fun years of leading a prototype R& D dental implant lab in Göteborg,Sweden that brought early, very early CAM implant frameworks that included entitlement to “play” and restoring the patients with world most famous dental clinicians that were possessing Rock Star statuses, again, including the legend himself – Professor Brånemark.
I guess only Barbro, (then his assistant and nowadays his dear wife and most loyal partner) knows how many hours I have spent in the Carlanderska sjukhuset (hospital) corridors with the “special CAD/CAM “ implant Hybrid framework in my knee waiting until the king himself wakes up from his afternoon siesta so we could do the next Try In on one another cancer patient… and then run up to Dr. Torsten Jemt to so called Brånemark Center at the Göteborg University with his “special Single Tooth Screw-retained titanium abutment/ crown” knowing I could lose my job in milliseconds because of working on the implant level that was a taboo at these strange but fun times… LOL
…These early 90’s were pioneering times when people believed that the laser beam of first dental scanners would burn retina in your eye if focusing for too long on it; the Rapid Prototyping was some kind of Aboriginal Dreamtime story caused by some bad mushrooms night before and even osseointegrated dental implants were some mean deceptive attempt of Swedish shamanism to blur clarity of world dental science and progress…it was funny…LOL
Then I was allowed to jump on and start preaching and teaching about all these “strange CAD/CAM things” around the world, that were first confusing then teaching, lecturing and meeting thousand of wonderful, interesting, knowledgeable people, that were clinicians, professors, lab owners, technicians, students around the world on six continents, in more than 30 different countries… and over so for almost 20 years!
All that experience, knowledge, mindfulness, pragmatic craftsmanship, lab technology, surgical and prosthetic "over the shoulder" years of learning and stewardship is now culminated and offered to you, clinician and customer to *mOmO Laboratories !
mOmO* Laboratories abbreviation stands for * most Opted manufacturing Operations and is NOT alluding to best manufacturing at our dental lab but to best & most rational restorative procedures offered and designed primarily for direct and indirect customers i.e DENTISTS & their PATIENTS !
OUR MISSION is NOT only to make a lab items i.e. teeth, prosthesis, dentures etc. but to improve, define and offer most efficient, creative and ever evolving processes that will repackage our products in such a way so it will create most intelligent new protocol routines for our direct customers (clinicians) and conclusively result in most comfortable enjoying experience for our indirect customers ( i.e. clinicians Patients) as well!
