The Montana Tech Alumni Association was organized to promote the interests of the Institution to potential students, alumni, state and nation.
The Montana Tech Alumni Association, an independent part of the institution, was first organized in 1904 for the purpose of promoting the interests of the Institution to potential students, alumni, community, state and nation. In 1953, the Association was incorporated as a nonprofit organization. The preamble to the charter, which was amended in 1978, states: “In order to secure unity among the graduates of Montana Tech (formerly Montana School of Mines/Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology), to foster an attachment to our Alma Mater, and to promote the interests of Montana Tech, we do hereby constitute ourselves an Association to be known as the Montana Tech Alumni Association.”
The mission of the Montana Tech Alumni Association is to promote the interests of the College to the alumni, community, state, nation, and world.
