Good market, but for some reason the citrus people think they can charge $6 lb across the board? Several produce vendors jack up the price at this market compared to others they go to. Starter bakery and my favorite meat company, prather ranch are there, so that makes this market worthwhile. The Asian vegetable vendor is good. Parking is easy and free on the main road.
Veges were not as fresh as other farmers markets. I noticed the oranges were $5 a pound which seemed over priced to me. I did like the organic strawberries and Chinese dumplings both. Both were good.
Great stuff, they have everything you need, except it won’t be at the cheapest prices, which makes sense because Montclair is an area of higher socioeconomic status.
Always enjoyable stroll. Great selection of fruits, vegetables and more!
Awesome, lots of great stuff in a small area
Perhaps one of the smaller markets, but still adequate selections for fresh produce. Free indoor parking is only one block away. Pleasant surroundings since it's in the midst of Montclair Village.
Great local market. Not a huge number of Vendors, but a perfect selection of different items from fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat, honey, hummus and many other specialty items you would find at a farmers market.
Great farmers market that is easy to navigate and has tons of produce and prepared food options. Still great though fewer stalls lately. More prepared food than before too. Getting new vendors!!
Extremely rude vendor "Starter bakery" Ruined my day. One of the lady at STARTER BAKERY yelled at my 2yr 10 month old grandson. After social distancing line, finally went up to stand and he started point at the net where cookies he wanted were, his tiny one finger tip was barely close to the net and she started yelling not to touch. I do understand we live in strange time with covid19. BUT First of all his finger tip wasn't even touching the net, barely close to it and bakery goods were on the other side of the net. Second if they were so concerned they should wrap their bakery goods in individual plastic wrap instead leaving it out in the open air. Third she should learn more about customer service and communication skills. There must be a better way to communicate rather than yelling at kids. By the way I caution my grandson always not to touch things in public and also we all wear masks even my grandson, more then anything for his own protection I still can not get over how rude and unreasonable and unpleasant she was. I suggest to stay away from this Starter Bakery if you do not want to ruin your family outing especially with little kids. My one star rating is not a reflection of other vendors. With all other vendors I had felt they were all friendly and helpful always.
Great selection, friendly atmosphere, consistent offerings. Parking can be harder to find as the day progresses
