This month is National Philippine History month in honor of that I place a Philippine and American flag on my Philippine/ American Wifes grave that had passed away a year ago City of Moore removed that flag but they now allow an American flag to be placed in the ground on memorial day . They just created this new in September but no others flags are allowed and did not contact anyone of these new rules. I can only display the Holidays that the city of Moore wants to decide they want to celebrate. American was created by people around the world . Here in the City of Moore they do not see that.
I am a disabled veteran. My son is also a killed veteran. The City of Moore removes the United States American flags and flowers I place on my sons grave. I think this is a disgrace to America's Veterans
It's always been a Pilar of sorts in our community. I know over 30 people in eternal rest there which is a little depressing especially since one of them is my sweet precious baby boy & I just turned 40. I remember the first time I went there and it was for a boy scout boy that my mother was the scout leader for who died of an asthma attack. It was very nicely moved I remembered thinking but no flowers. Then I remember when a friends brother accidentally killed himself and being a teenager in shock don't remember the grounds. I will say that being from a smallish town, it makes it hard because there aren't many options for cemeteries and most hopefully don't ever have to deal with it but I will say that before the May 21st 2013 it was good to go and straighten up and help around but our stuff was still there. Now, they wipe it all out weekly it seems and for us relatives and friends it's devastating and quite frankly expensive to put something out that often. If you miss a few weeks it looks to others that you don't care and it's disheartening. I wish I could move my son to be quit honest and that is why when my brother passed last year unexpectedly, It wasn't even a thought to bury him there. I'm hoping to aquire some property to build a very modest home on for my husband and have a family cemetery there. I'll have him moved then and finally lay my brother permanently to rest. Then i can put my flowers or urns out and they will remain until myself or the wind removes them. My friend said she's completely devestated by the damages to her father's headstone. My son doesn't have one due to several reasons but I definitely think anyone reading this would want that information also. My Deepest condolences to anyone who is reading this out of necessity and to all during this difficult period. Laura Haralson-McDermaid
I was able to visit the Moore Cemetery yesterday. The grounds looked like they were well taken care of. It's a nice cemetery.
Grounds are kept. Of course they take care before Memorial Day. Lots of standing water since so flat. Good for the lawn
Business is always dead.
