An adult only facility!!!! What a nice change. Very quiet and clean, with friendly staff. Beautiful location, right next to the river. We only stayed one night, but could have easily stayed for several nights. Easy off and on I-91. We like to support small businesses.
This campground is the best. If I could give them 100 stars I would. I am a solo travel nurse and had the privilege of staying here 3 months. The owners are the friendliest, kindest people you could meet. Only downside is I have to leave. Wish I could stay forever.
Stayed here the week of labor day and everyone was super nice. They had live music, bonfires, and even a pot luck dinner that they let us join in on to celebrate the holiday. Cute little river runs thru the park as well. Would definitely stay here again!
We stayed here for 3 nights in Oct 2022. My first impression was how friendly and accommodating they were on the phone while making our reservation. Just as nice when we arrived, plus the owner went above and beyond to get us into a pull thru. We pull a 42' 5th wheel with a Heavy Duty Truck and that was not a problem for them. We were super surprised that upon check in we received a swag bag with all kinds of cool stuff... including a great step by step of great places to see while we were in the area that came in very handy!!! The park is very clean and well maintained. A+++ in our book! They provide cable, but we found that too fuzzy so we opted for our dish. We paid $47.00 a night, but could have been off season prices.
Drove two hours to join my parents camping at what I expected to be a camp ground. This place was disappointing as soon as we showed up, It's more of a trailer park than anything else. The lots have no separation and there is nothing to do here. After paying for the lot we backed in our SUV which is converted to our camper, but according to the park hog, that's not allowed because we don't have a toilet in our truck?! Our camper on the lot has a toilet and plumbing hooked up but NO SLEEPING IN YOUR CAR. dumbest rule I have ever heard, our lot looked no different than an ordinary campground lot but noticed that our suburban is modified to sleep in. Makes no sense. this is not a campground. they denied refund for the lot we JUST paid for. This place is just a strictly run scam show meant for retired old folk to meet each other while stimulating trailer park living. this place not NOT have plenty of room, its small and crowded, the "river" is only inches deep. this is just a parking lot/trailer park for visiting the area.
What a nice family owned campground. It is well-kept with flowers, mowed lawns, a beautiful river and cute moose related items. They host a weekly bonfire on Saturday nights. The packet of information at check-in was so helpful! There is a lot of pride of ownership here.
We had a brief 2-day stay at Moose River and loved it. It's a beautiful campground right by the river and very and I mean VERY well kept. We'll definitely be making a return visit when we take a return trip through the area next year.
We stayed 4 nights at the Moose River Campground. The park is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting by the River. Our pullthru was very long but a bit narrow for parking. We had to bleed into the grass to insure our slides would not hit an electrical box. The WiFi worked excellently. The utilities were all spot on including voltage and water pressure. Sewer connection was not threaded but worked fine. We highly recommend this park. It was one of the most peaceful stops on our journey across multiple states. The town of St Johnsbury is very cute. We will definitely come back here again. 5 stars all the way.
We don't even really want to give this place one star, it's right off a very busy main road that's traveled heavily so you mostly hear the traffic. The owners are nice but they harass you about every little thing and so you feel like you're walking on eggshells, you're not allowed visitors and they don't issue refunds. Will not be going there again and we don't advise anyone else to go there either unless you want to sit and twiddle your thumbs.
Small but nice sites, owner is a bit offensive. Yelled at me from across the campground...then got a lecture on a momentary loose dog. Made me want to pack out.
