This is quite possibly my favorite garden I've ever been to. It's huge, and despite that, it is still very well maintained. The museum is on the smaller side, but it is still informative. In addition, they also hold classes and cultural shows and movies here. The Bonsai exhibit is particularly impressive, and I even got my first Bonsai here during a festival! It's still going strong five years later! The gift shop and restaurant can get pretty pricey, but it does help support this beautiful place. I wholly recommend, especially as a date spot!
This place is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of benches around the park and under tree shades to take some time and admire your surroundings. I loved the animals that you can see around, the Bonsai trees are really special the art gallery was a nice cultural touch .The Ticket price is not bad. We did enjoy our visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
It’s been about 10 years since my last visit and the gardens are even more beautiful now. In the movie, the narrator said that the garden is “still in its infancy” I can only imagine when the trees are over 100 years old! It was a hot day but there is enough shade and breeze and beauty to take a chill walk and stop at every nook on the way back to the cafe. If you are looking for an easy family outing, head over early and have an Asian inspired lunch overlooking the water. Perfect venue to gather with friends
Loved it here so much. Such a beautiful garden, just wish it was opened longer. The park closes at 5pm. So much beauty & life here. $10 admission fee. Parking available. Nature speaks of itself. Loved walking, sitting and admiring everything within this beautiful place, definitely make your way here if you're a nature lover like myself. Also theirs a cafe here as well which you can admire the view with great drinks.
I had been wanting to go here for two years, and this place is amazing! It's very well priced for a 1/2 day trip. The Museum exhibit is beautiful, and there are so many things to see. Their walking tour was well done and the curry chicken from the Cornell Cafe was amazing!
I took the drive down here with my friend for the day, and I am so glad I went! I highly recommend going early in the morning as it gets crowded in the afternoon and parking becomes scarce. I appreciated that they had a student discount to purchase a ticket. The garden is absolutely beautiful! The sights are breathtaking, and it is an incredibly peaceful walk. There are places to the side where you can meditate or relax in private. Sadly, the museum was under renovation when we came, so we didn’t get to see the inside. I also wish that they offered more unique things in the gift shop too. Overall, it was a great experience and had everything that I expected to see and more.
I went last year and I loved the experience. It's a great place to spend an afternoon. I enjoyed walking the trails and seeing all the monuments and scenery. The cafe had a good amount of choices. All Japanese inspired cuisine. The gift shop was also pretty neat, having Japanese literature and knick knacks.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
Nice tranquil garden to visit. They have a walking trail, a small museum, and some educational videos and movie to watch explaining the gardens. Visited in January so there were no blossoming flowers. Not sure if there are any at all as this is mostly A bonsai tree and plant reserve. Lots of sun, shade, and benches to rest of needed. My wife and I really enjoyed it very much.
Absolutely loved this place. It was so serene and beautiful. We were able to enjoy the audio tour and learned much of Japanese culture. It really immersed you in the life of Japan. Admission was $15 per person despite the time closes @5pm. It is quite humid and hot, of course it is Florida so it is best to go in the winter when it is cooler to truly enjoy Morikami. Note: if you decide to go when it is hot, best to go in shorts and a cool shirt. Lovely place , thank you!
Great place to spend an afternoon. Entry was fairly inexpensive. The gardens were extremely beautiful. The area is pretty large so make sure to plan out what you want to see in advance. My favorite were the bonsai trees.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
