What a wonderful gem of a theater. We saw Justin Hayward, lead singer of the Moody Blues. 10 rows of seats on the main floor and 5 rows in the balcony. 250 people max. Very intimate. Wonderful acoustics, Furthest seat from stage is about 35 feet. You miss nothing in a performance, no one standing to block the view. If you have the chance, see a performance here, if it's someone your into, you will leave with a smile .
Though a bit on the small side, the entertainment doesn't lack in size. We were there to see Farewell Angelina and they did not disappoint! The theatre itself is quite lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's easy to find and there's a parking garage attached. I would see something else there.
Historic old theater, no seat is bad in this venue. Parking is easy at the parking garage next door. Free during the day before 4pm and free on Sundays. You must print your tickets to scan. They have a small snack stand for drinks and snacks and they do take credit cards. A little confusing as to which door to go in as there are multiple buildings. The main door for the theater is the one with the circular driveway. Gymnasium is next door and Museum is around the corner.
I have been attending July chamber music concerts at this location for 25 years. This venue is a small, cozy theater set up with a balcony and there are no bad seats. Persons with hearing difficulties are accommodated as are those with walkers and wheelchairs. A small concession stand provides drinks and snacks during intermissions. They host many different activities at the Crest in addition to chamber music concerts and have publications available that describe their programs.
So much fun! Went and saw Monty Python spamalot! Was a blast! Granted just a small community theatre, it was perfect! Hope to get to see another production here soon!
Just saw the group The Hunts on 6/9. This place was so Awesome and the most friendliest people you ever want to meet. Excellent location and can't wait to visit again.
The venue never lets you down. It is charming, presents talented artists of every genre, and it is affordable. It is a true treasure for the Delray Beach community and the surrounding towns.
Very nice theater with main floor and balcony seating, ushers to help you locate your seat and nearby parking garage. Located in Old School Square in downtown Delray Beach.
Front desk refused to provide me and my party of 3 student discounts to attend a showing because the discount “ended yesterday” and was super rude. The theatre could of made nearly $70 in ticket sales on a slow night for a not-sold-out show after the discount. Too bad we left
Last night I had the distinct displeasure to see 'Billie' at the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach, FL. It was horrific, really. When old blue-hairs scream for their money back, you know it sucked. Please Delray, get OFF the PC bandwagon NOW!! I live there, am female, and am gay, but this performance EMBARRASSED me as a Feminist, a human, a lifelong theater goer and a citizen of this lovely town. Stop being PC and promote HONEST theater!
