Description

Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers has been improving the health of area residents since 1906. Located 55 miles southwest of Chicago in Morris, Illinois, the 89-bed Morris Hospital serves residents of Grundy County and parts of Will, LaSalle, Livingston, and Kendall counties and is the largest employer in Grundy County. Along with the main hospital campus in Morris, services are provided at the Diagnostic & Rehabilitative Center, the Radiation Therapy Center, the Morris Hospital Ridge Road Campus, and the Braidwood, Channahon, Dwight, Gardner, Marseilles, Minooka, Morris and Newark Healthcare Centers.

In the ER the Receptionist was nice with beautiful eyes lol.. my nurse was a cool girl forgot her name think it was Leslie. Dr mark Gibson was nice straight to the point explained everything to me and continued informing what was going on every step of the way. I had a perianal abscess drained . Thank GOD I don’t rely 100% on reviews. I have no complaints here. Only thing is I wanted to ask the doctor some more questions afterwards but he had went off, I guess to deal with other patients. Everything is on the discharge papers anyway. Thanks a lot
Cheris Henzie was very rude to me, after I voiced my upsetting recent treatment at the hospital! Instead of showing compassion or concern she talked to me under a tone asking why I came back if I was unhappy?? I explained I had no way to any other hospital she continued to make me feel horrible for asking for good care & human decency! I'm not supposed to be upset when doctors don't listen to me & I end up there 3 times for ! Or being beat up getting an iv in! Missing my mom's funeral because they didn't treat my pneumonia correctly the first 2 times!
The wait is always very long, but I will say that the staff is great and thorough for an ER. I’ll wait a little longer for quality care. There is nothing worse than an ER doctor who doesn’t listen to their patients and just writes a prescription for their best guess and sends you out the door. The doctors at Morris have always had great bedside manner and care about their patients.
Absolutely the best care in the ER! Every member of the medical team was kind, compassionate, always explaining what they were doing. Nurse Joe was outstanding. This has been a very positive experience for having to have a family member needing care.
Hey guys how’s it going just wanted to drop a little information here came in the ER the staff everyone is super nice Came in thinking I was gonna have a heart attack because of my severe anxiety/panic attack I wish I would’ve had the heart attack because now I’m being sued by Morris hospital so think again if you wanna come here because of your severe anxiety or panic attacks they will come after you and sue you just like they are for me right now. Remember read the fine print when you check in that’s how they got me!!! Would’ve never have thought I would’ve been getting sued by someone I would trust my life with that’s just crazy to me that shows you the world we live in.
Wait times and excuses. They have no problem letting people sit while screaming out in pain while offering no medication or coming in to check in on my kid. The main nurse had a weird sarcastic attitude the whole time. So we ended up requesting to be discharged and left. I am taking my kid to Edward Hospital in Naperville today instead. 5:45pm to 11:37pm and the entire time we got admitted to a room and an IV started. Which was incorrectly put in and never delivered the fluids. After 1.5 hours of the liquid staying at the 3/4 fill line I finally pressed the call button to ask if the bag should be less filled by now..... Low and behold she said she didn't put it in properly and it was not draining. Opps.... Side note and some positivity: The facility itself seems very new and well maintained.
Absolutely terrible! We got ekg here and the lady doing the test doesn’t even know how to do it. Told my wife she had a heart attack and said couldn’t get her into cardiologist for 5 months. Told her heart was damaged. Went to Loyola and said it was human error on Morris hospital who didn’t do ekg correct. Got two opinions and heart is normal. Now waiting for them to get me results for heart monitor that’s been off for 3 weeks and they can’t even track down results. They don’t know where results were sent within morris hospital. No one seems to care at all. Do. Not. Go. Here.
The nurses and doctors I love. But JANET from the billing department is rude and very unprofessional. She is supposed to be “higher up” but was not helpful, told me “no I’m not sending this to your insurance” after my insurance told me to send it again!!! And said I’m being “complicated” while talking to her coworker about me. If you ever get JANET ask to speak to someone else.
Received a letter in AUGUST about an information breach where MY information got stolen from their systems back in APRIL. Disgusting hospital and they are a disgrace.
One star is by far more than they deserve. I will say, my experience with the staff has been good. My problem is I have been sent to 2 different collection agencies for things that were already paid. The first time was supposedly an error on their behalf do to switching systems. I proofed that all was paid and I was told not to worry about it. That was last year. I just received another letter for the same thing but from a different agency. This is highly annoying and time consuming. I and anyone else this is happening to needs an apology. Maybe you guys are being greedy trying to scam people out of money. If so you guys should be held accountable.. for anyone considering going there. I would only recommend it if you want to get sent to collections 3 Years after fully paying your bills and having to come up with proof you payed. Luckily i had insureance and can prove they covered all of it. This makes no sense.
