Mosaics by Manda was started in 2011. I sell glass and bead mosaics that are mounted on wood and meant to be displayed as decorative art.
While Mosaics by Manda is fairly new - having just started in 2015, I have been making mosaics since 2010. I sell glass and bead mosaics that are mounted onto wood and occasionally canvas. The first step of the process is using a glass cutter to carefully cut the glass to size. Then the wood surfaces are sealed. The glass is laid and taped together in sections. Then I glue both the sealed surface as well as the back of the glass. The glue needs to dry for 2 days before grouting can happen. After the pieces are grouted and cleaned, the final piece is sealed. It is a long process with most pieces taking weeks to make.
