Mostafa Supermarket

I recently visited Mostafa Supermarket in Burnaby and was really impressed with their butchery section. It's one of the cleanest I've seen in the area and their selection of lamb meat is fantastic. What's even better is that their prices are very fair compared to other options in the area. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, making for an overall pleasant shopping experience. I would definitely recommend Mostafa Supermarket to anyone looking for high-quality meat and excellent service.

Re: SM = Short-changed, over-charged We also have been short-changed and over-charged at this location, on MORE than one occasion. The most recent time this happened was being short-changed by $3.00. We didn’t believe this to r an honest mistake, hence we made that clear to the cashier that this seems to be a common occurrence. Something feels odd and dishonest about this place. I believe we deal with the owner lady some times when this as occurred. Agreed with SM, there are no price tags on most items, cashier decides how much to charge Its really not right. Looking through the Google reviews. We are not the only ones to have experienced this. May loom into filing a formal complaint P.S. They charge 0.10 for a “plastic” bag, when average price is 0.05 at most all other stores we have been to Plus the plastic bag is not of the best quality; goodness huh :///

A lot of products do not have price tags/stickers or labels to indicate price. The cash register doesn’t have a screen where the customer can see what they are ringing through or charging. Both cash register screens are facing the cashier so the customer cannot see. The cashier was unprofessional and rude when I approached her for overcharging me for a product. I asked her the prices of baklava 2 different sizes before purchasing. She said the small box was $6.99. When she handed me the receipt I was charged $8.99. I asked her why and she rudely said ‘it’s only $2 difference.’ The point was that I inquired BEFORE purchase and SHE gave me the WRONG price. Easily could have been handled with an apology, no need to be rude to the customer when the cashier was in the wrong. Either way, don’t recommend this place at all. The prices for their nuts and dried fruit are also overpriced compared to nearby markets.

The owners wife is the sweetest human being. Very good customer skills. I GI for the best Ethiopian Coffee brans and Organic Honey and yogurt. Very yummy. Clean and well kept.

Avoid this store. They don't list prices for 50% of items and make them up depending on who's buying. Avoid to save embarrassment

Bought staff for over $100 Been very disappointed . They are keeping all their staff in freezer. “Nokal, shirpera and kulcha was super old and dry. Was expired in 2019. Tried to return it back, but answer was NO. Strongly not recommend.

Not a reliable store for customer service. I will avoid going there again.
