The Warren Township Historical Society was organized in 1975 to unite all people interested in the area history of Warren Township, Lake County, Illinois.
The Mother Rudd Home Museum was established in 1991 and is overseen by the Warren Township Historical Society.The museum is open to the public on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 12pm, and at scheduled Open Houses throughout the year. Research in our extensive archive library is available by appointment.
School groups, scout troops, etc., can be accommodated by appointment; please call or email.
Admission is free. Donations are welcome!
Come join us! Volunteers are welcome to join the archive project, or to help with accessioning, research, housekeeping, light carpentry work, or exhibit design. If you are interested in volunteering, stop by the museum on Tuesday mornings between 10am and 12pm, or email [email protected] for more information. We will also be recruiting for volunteer docents to help with the weekly open houses during the summer which run in conjunction with the Gurnee Farmer's Market.
Membership is open to all. Effective 2008, dues are $7 (individual), $12 (family), per year. Members receive our bi-monthly newsletter, and invitations to member only events and meetings. Email [email protected] for more information.
