The Catholic Diocese of Kansas City - St. Joseph operates three cemeteries in the Kansas City, Missouri area and one in the St. Joseph, Missouri area. Each location offers a variety of burial options and services:

-Mount Olivet Cemetery, located at 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard, has a variety of beautiful gardens and sprawling views.

-Mt. Saint Mary's, located at 2201 Cleveland Avenue, offers breathtaking views of the Kansas City skyline as well as numerous historical gravesites.

-Resurrection, 5001 NE Cookingham Road in the north part of the metro, offers a sweeping vista of Clay County and a serene natural setting.

-Mount Olivet ~ St. Joseph, located at 2600 Lover's Lane, is defined by it's rolling hills, abundant history, and iconic faith symbols.

I love this cemetery my daddy and grandparents are buried here it’s well kept and very friendly service
I have visited the office and conducted business. Always been greeted in a friendly and business like manner. I feel they show concern while providing service. The cemetery is well kept and if a problem happens to come up, they are quick to remedy the issues.
The best I've seen with an excellent staff. My family members are interned there. The mausoleum chapel is clean and well kept; the staff is very professional; and the grounds are immaculate. When we needed to locate our baby sister's grave from 1955; the staff helped us locate her at St Marys. The staff was also helpful in us relocating her to Mt Olivet to intern her with the rest of the family. The grounds workers very meticulously and gently excavated her remains; and carefully placed them in a new casket for us to take her to Mt Olivet. Another member of the staff was present at both locations to ensure everything went smoothly. We are now pre-planning our funeral to be interned at Mt Olivet with the rest of the family. The staff is working with us by answering all questions in order to help us with the pre-planning. I pray God continue to bless this staff.
I am a Member of Find-A-Grave and a contributor. I attempt to photograph headstones for individuals who have posted a request on the Find-A-Grave site. I accessed the records of those individuals requesting the photograph and grave location. Mt. Olivet granted me access to the book and I photographed 60 headstones and posted them to Find-A-Grave. I got many many thank you's for fulfilling these requests. I go back today 5/25/16 to try to fulfill the remaining requests from Find-A-Grave. I am told that it is an invasion of privacy and I am to stop doing it. How can it be an invasion of privacy if these people are requesting these grave locations and photos. I am not accessing anyone other than the people being requested. I was told that these people could email someone and that they would in turn give them the grave location. I asked if they would take a photo of the grave stone for them and they replied no. I think it is an injustice on Mt. Olivet's part that they are denying me to do this and denying these people, who are out of the state and can't get here to photograph the headstone themselves, the opportunity to see the headstone that they requested. It is sad to see what state our society is in, even for those who have passed. I have posted this on Facebook and the Find-A-Grave community forum.
Went t o visit friend grave they help us locate
As many people are aware, Mt.Olivet can do whatever their rules say, because they are a privately owned cemetery. Most cemeteries are under city or a private association & most do not care if photographs are taken. I see one viewers point & I can also see Mt.Olivet's.
The cemetery is not maintaining the graves as they should. There is so many headstones that are slightly sinking to badly sinking into the ground. There is no reason why these graves are not better taken care of by Mount Olivet.
The cemetery is well kept and i like that there is someone you can talk to in the office area.
My daddy was laid to rest here. Such a beautiful place.
