The Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health are dedicated to providing cutting-edge clinical services with a focus on prevention to keep workers healthy and their workplaces safe. Individuals who are injured during the course of employment, or who suffer from work-related illnesses or diseases, require specialized care. Our patient-centered approach helps individuals get better so they can return to work. We help individuals to understand their rights and responsibilities and adhere to notification requirements with their employers and government agencies, including the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.
Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, industrial hygienists, and ergonomists help employers to evaluate the work environment and establish integrated occupational health promotion and workplace safety programs to advance the general health and wellbeing of their workforce. Our medical experts and outreach team members visit hundreds of community organizations, labor unions and employers each year to bring quality training and education programs to the communities serviced by our clinical centers.
