My mom has been a patient with Mountain View for 5 years and is always given the best of care. When I visit my mom, the other patients are doing activities and I can see they are in good moods, joking and laughing. Sometimes they have special events, visiting performers, music, and Mariachis which really makes things lively. The staff is very caring and gentle with her. The facility is clean and well maintained. The RNs are always aware of her health and give her meds on a regular timely basis. Thanks to the staff and administrators for the wonderful care they give my mom.
Mountain View is an amazing place for rehabilitation and care. Looks nice and cozy, with beautiful patio. Staff is very friendly.
There is never staff available to answer the phones when trying to contact patients. The phone rings until it hangs itself up. This is at all times of day. If you have a loved one that you are trying to contact, it won't be done over the phone. I do not suggest, recommend, nor advise anyone to place their loved one at this facility if you plan on checking on them via phone.
This place doesn't deserve a half star. My wife was in here for about a month. Just days before she was released, not by our choose, she got a very bad rash & raw from not being changed. I took a picture to prove my claim. After waiting over 45 minutes after pushing her nurse's button, I walked out the door to make sure the light was on over the door. I verified the light was on, when I looked down the hall, her care giver was sitting in a chair talking to another employee. Naturally I raised a fuss. That's when I stayed in the room & took the picture of her raw, red & dirty bottom. She didn't get sufficient phsyical therapy either. Soon after that she was discharged. I had to have medical transport bring her home to our mobile home. She wasn't well enough to walk up the steps. This is only one instance of the last & lousy care given by this facility. There should be more quality control over these facilities to get better care for our loved ones.
I'm leaving this review as a health care professional who was unable to speak to a live person, or even leave a voicemail regarding a very important patient-related concern. I would not trust this company to take care of your loved ones based on the mere fact that their voicemail doesn't seem to be checked regularly. Can I get a professional voicemail message detailing the name of your "legitimate" business, please? Thankfully, my patient has plans to return home under the care of her loved ones. Best wishes to all!
Very Pleased with the friendly and supportive staff. My husband has been here for 2 years. Some staff has changed but one thing that always remains is the way they work together to support and care for the patients physically, mentally and emotionally. They're friendly, playful and knowledgeable. There have been a few that have come across as tired, rude and even disrespectful. But it has always pleased us the way the supervisors have managed the situation. And the social workers really go beyond to be extra helpful.
Horrible place! My father was there for almost a month and I could never get anyone to pick up the phone so I could speak to him. It didn't matter what time of day I called, they either don't pick up and there's no way to leave a message OR they put you on hold and never come back. They won't return emails asking for information and won't send any forms or updates. My father was getting PT and OT and they didn't tell until the last day he was there that there was a PT manager I could have gotten updates from. The case manager and doctor would tell me different things, one would say he's making progress and the other would say he's declining. Once I overheard the nurse tell my father it was his da to take a shower, my father, who was legitimately confused due to his stoke, asked how he was supposed to do that since he couldn't walk and instead of explaining to him that he'd have assistance, the nurse simply said "are you declining?" didn't even wait for an answer and just left. This place should have their license revoked!
Do not come here, most of the staff is nice but nice can’t care for all the patients! They do not have enough staff to take care of the patients that are already here! No one wants to work here and patients can’t wait to leave!
The worsest care for their patients that can't move. Subacute to be exact. They leave their patients unattended for hours.
Absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life... After 2 weeks In the hospital, I was sent to Mountain View, where the majority of the staff are either palpably hostile, or dismissive. As a paraplegic, I've had a lot of MRI'S as well as x-rays, extensive medical records... Yet Mountain View acts as if they were hit with a mallett over my disabilities. They were unable to accommodate toilet requirements for my needs and abilities, and all without patience, compassion or respect. I'm just not sure how things will fare now since I just pulled their covers... I've had neck surgery, 2 back surgeries, a fractured cervical spine, my right hip is toast, and my right ankle is fractured in a way that cannot be fixed without surgery. I ask that anyone that has a friend or family member that wants only for the best for said friend/family, keep them as far away from Mountain View as you possibly can. This is horrific, especially if you are needing someone to actually CARE about how you're doing and feeling. My deepest gratitude for those that ARE better than the rest... You know who you are!!! Thank you for your time. E.P.
