Movie Tavern Juban Crossing

Well… the staff was friendly, but there were signs everywhere about the roof being under repair , call buttons disabled, no servers, ticket scanner down, etc… The popcorn came cold and the shakes were in tiny plastic cups and half melted already. The theater was clean and the seats are comfortable.

It's a good venue. It makes it enjoyable experience. I would give it five stars but I'm not exactly happy about some of the content they choose to show for their previews. I'm sure it's a corporate decision, but it still needs to be said.

How you lose new customers before they even get started. I don't understand a place that advertises food with their movies, very specific about how to order the food. But don't have no damn food. Very disappointed. Very Very disappointed.

This has to be the worst place ever . I rather buy the movie on Cox and just order food from a restaurant. First of all they don’t tell me until 25 mins later that they can’t make my food so I have to pick something else , you would have thought since I waited all ready they would have hurry with my food . Nope I finally get a cheese burger a hour later . Then it’s only 8 and I can’t get another drink at the bar cause she did inventory . I run a restaurant and she did it way to early specially since at 8:50 she still at the bar . So I know she wasn’t getting off when she told me at 8. It’s sad I’m guessing that’s why they don’t have many movie times because of how sadly the help is. They are already expensive so you would think you would be able to get stuff and on a timely manner . I would never go back. Definitely bad customer service . I don’t see the place being there very long with already no movie times but one and can’t even help the customers they do have.

I want to go see the movie "Smile" there this week. Drove over an hour from the New Orleans Metro to meet a friend there. Of course I've never been being used to going to the Palace in Metairie, the theater by Esplanade mall in Kenner, Laplace, and Gonzales. Me and my friend proceed to get tickets and we see on the lighted sign a price of 11.75, which is roughly the average price I'm used to paying. So, when we're told it's 15 dollars plus tax, we are shocked. We point out the sign showing 11.75, hoping they would honor the price. They say they can't. The person says they can't change the sign. Even if that were to be true, couldn't they leave the movies lit up on sign, and just cover the prices. Makes sense to me. Why do false advertising?? Or honor the price showing like everyone else would. These people saw nothing wrong at all with them advertising on the sign 11.75, and charging 15.00 plus tax. It was like, oh well. Well, it's not ok. We paid because we didn't have time to drive anywhere else by this time, but we sure didn't want too. Not only were we the only ones in the theater room smile, we were actually the only paying customers in the whole theater. It was only workers. At those prices they are charging, I can see why they had no other customers at all. I called Metairie and Gonzales for prices, and they were both 12 dollars and 10.75 for night showings. My friend said Perkins Rowe is also about the same as Metairie and Gonzales. SO WHY IS THIS MOVIE THEATER SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL THAN THE OTHERS?? IT'S NOT! NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL COMPARED TO OTHERS. DO THEY THINK BECAUSE THERE'S A BAR TO GET ALCOHOL INSIDE, MAKES IT SPECIAL?? It doesn't. We didn't even get a beer at the 6.75 a beer they change. We got one after. Then, when the previews of other movies play, there is no sound. We think there will be trouble with the movie, so I alerted a worker there, and he said sometimes sound dosen't play on previews. It does everywhere else you go tho. I want to hear the previews of coming movies too. Why show previews then, if there is no sound. There is nothing more offered at this theater, compared to others, to benefit you going here. Unless you like to burn money. No person collecting ticket stubs even. No nothing. I'd rather pay more for gas station milk than go here. Do yourself a favor, don't go. Treat yourself to a nice meal instead. Don't let these people rip you off. I'd rather be cleaning a cat litter box, than go to this place ever again. Boycott this place.

Love this place especially around the holidays and Tuesday....free complimentary popcorn on tuesday!! The seats are clean and so comfy...on top of that..their menu are pretty decent...nice little variety! The service is mediocre but its understandable because of how many people they are serving....my family make it a weekly adventure for us

Food isn't bad, the chairs are comfy. I just don't like that I can see people on their phones and their prices are higher than their competitors.

The theater is nice and the movie was awesome! It was uncomfortably warm the entire time of our movie though. I waited almost 10 minutes to get a soft drink and there were only 2 people ahead of me. They may need more help.

The movie theater and movie itself was awesome and i enjoyed it. The seats were perfect but keep in mind my movie was at 10:30pm. When my boyfriend and i got here we went to the bar for a drink. We were greeted but sadly we were also welcomed with the bartender complaining about being tired and how she disliked that we were seeing the movie at 10:30 as well as other people. We felt very uncomfortable sitting at the bar because she was complaining saying she’s ready to go home. I understand completely working late and being on your feet all day but i would never complain to my customers about how they were keeping me up at my job.

Pros: simple and easy way to find the movie room you go to, same for bathroom and seats. The sounds in the room are not to loud. That's the only things That's good about it. Cons: buying food, is very time consuming and complicated, and you can't pay with cash. a little expensive but not too bad, it would be better to just have it where you can buy what you want like the old days. Overall good movie experience, ok food experience
