Everyone at Mt. Shasta Memorial Chapel are absolutely wonderful! My father past recently and they assisted my mother with all the arrangements, answered every question in depth, and eased a lot of stress. Our whole family is very grateful to them!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are dishonest and unethical schemers who will take as much money from you as they can get away with. I had to contact them about my mother’s body because they serve as a city morgue and have a contract with the hospital and the city to hold the bodies at their facility. As soon as I called, they started quoting me high prices for their services and tried to get me locked into a contract with them. I told them that I’d be considering all my options first and would get back them. The lady on the phone could not answer my questions with any certainty and could not break down her pricing or even explain the process. I ended up going with a different company that turned out to be AWESOME Adams Affordable Cremation & Burial because their pricing and service was so much better. As soon as my chosen company took my mother’s body from Mt. Shasta Memorial’s “care”, I received a call from their receptionist asking me to pay them for a body pick up from the hospital: OVER $500 for a service that they are already contracted to do with the city and the hospital!!!DOUBLE DIPPING MUCH?! I had NO contract with them, NO agreements or ANY invoices. THEY THREATENED TO SEND ME TO COLLECTIONS, THEREBY RUINING MY CREDIT! After I told them that they have no standing, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL TAKE ME TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT OVER THIS!!! After this conversation, I received a vague letter filled with untrue statements that asked me for an unspecified amount of money again, I had no contract/invoice bc I never agreed to do business with them. I replied with a certified letter with the CA statutes on conducting business which they seem to be breaking. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR POSITION AND CONTRACT WITH THE CITY!!
15 months ago my father passed away and we ordered a headstone to be set at his grave site. We were expected to pay immediately .I understand that they need their money so they can guarantee that it's taken care of but we have gotten the worst customer service from this company and we are still waiting.
My family has been waiting over 15 months for my dads headstone to be placed. It was in Mt Shasta in September but excuse after excuse for why it hasn’t been placed. Turnover, weather, etc. They sure took the money fast but no service! Shameful!
The Rodriguez/Avila Familia were blessed with such an amazing caring staff..Travis was so professional and compassionate towards are needs and desires to make our mother’s viewing, mass and graveside service a very memorable experience

First of all sudden death of my husband had to pay thst day. All the money. I Aldo ordered headstone 3000 dol. It took over year to get it and headstone not set yet. 14 months I've waited and still waiting sr
The staff at Mount Shasta Memorial were so kind and considerate and helpful. At the worst time in a person's life they were a light in a dark place. They even followed up later to see how it was going. I highly recommend them for all your burial needs.

It is a very beautiful place and they keep it maintained very well. The main building where the bathrooms are haven't been open, but they are willing to open it if someone is there to help. When we went last the sprinklers were on at the grave site we were visiting, but they gladly turned them off for our visit.
