The MTSU School of Agribusiness and Agriscience appreciates your interest in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Agribusiness combines business operations with agricultural production. Agriscience combines science and technology with agricultural production. However, comments from students tell more about us than definitions: learning by doing, hands-on programs, a place where the teachers know you, facilities with high-end technology, and opportunities to travel abroad. With several farms, a dairy, four greenhouses, and a horse science center, it’s not surprising that students can apply what they learn in a variety of real-life settings. Feeding the world in a sustainable way is key to the future, and students can participate in research and experiential learning toward that goal.
We offer programs leading to B.S. degrees in Agribusiness, Animal Science, Horse Science, and Plant and Soil Science. A Master of Science (M.S.) degree is offered in Horse Science with a choice among three concentrations: Equine Education, Equine Management, or Equine Physiology. We invite you to explore the variety of programs available at MTSU. The School of Agribusiness and Agriscience is part of the College of Basic and Applied Science.
The School of Agribusiness and Agriscience is committed to the general university objectives of teaching, public service and research. The major objective is to maintain and improve the quality of instruction. Public service and research activities are encouraged to promote professional development, to enhance the instructional program, and to better serve the agricultural needs of the region.
