Mudhole BBQ

Outstanding and inventive menu of traditional sauce-based BBQ. Great portions, beautifully cooked meat, and well-priced. Easy to get to as well. The good well outweighs the "cons" here, which would be a smallish drink menu, only 3 available sauces that said they are all amazing--get the garlic sauce, and sometimes meats will sell out before you get there and will not be available. A well-underrated source of great KC BBQ. Add this to your stops when making BBQ plans.

I really wanted to love this place! Their menu has some unique options like BBQ Rangoon. Awesome idea, but getting 3 for 6 dollars is not a favorable price point. I think the meat had good flavor, I would have liked it to be more smokey. I agree with some of the comments in regard to the service, it could have been more enthusiastic. This is especially important in Kansas City where BBQ places tend to have big personalities serving you that add to the charm think Gates BBQ. Additionally, I wanted to have a beer with my meal but neither of the people working were old enough to serve it to me. Kudos to them for being honest, disappointing that the restaurant was not staffed appropriately to serve their advertised beer special. A final small concern...I like that they serve pickles, I expect that from any BBQ place. What bugged me was that the pickles were individually wrapped in a significant amount of plastic. I find this unnecessary and wasteful.

Seemed a bit high on the prices but most barbecue places are now days. Great food most of the sauces all had the same base I think it was honey very sweet and spicy wasn't as spicy as it could be but I liked it. The beans weren't bad as well. Next time I think I will try their potato salad and coleslaw or maybe there cheesy corn dish. All in all I would go back and try to get their daily special next time.

Tried this place for the first time today! Excellent brisket, garlic fries and hot barbecue sauce! Only thing we had and didn't care for was the coleslaw, but everything else was so good that we will definitely be back! Girl working the counter was super sweet and welcoming! Very exciting to have another great BBQ place in the northland!

Didn't hate it, but probably won't be back either. Went here for the first time tonight. Staff was friendly, the brisket and turkey were good, but all our food was barely warm when served, our ribs were small, dry, and burned -- and half of mine was inedibly tough and chewy, like I had been given part of the rib that probably wasn't meant to actually be served. The BBQ beans were "ok" but surprisingly plain compared to pretty much every other BBQ restaurant I've ever been to. I tried all their BBQ sauces and I personally liked the "sweet" sauce, in moderation. I wish them well but my family left agreeing we probably wouldn't be back.

Yummy! One of the best when it comes to BBQ. Very pricey though.

Our first visit was amazing! The meat is tender and had just the right amount of smoke! Yes, you can actually, taste the smoke!!! 3 unique bbq sauces, sweet is sweet, vinegar like, with a little heat on the backside , spicy SPICY!!! , and garlic yummy! Portions are really good, they didn't skip on the meat on the sandwiches!!! Definitely check them out! They have their own style, which I like bbq places like that!

I had to try the place because they had the balls to open directly across from the Gladstone iconic BBQ - Smokehouse and I'm glad I did. I got the 3 way plate. Ribs chicken and burnt ends were all perfectly done. If you're hankering for BBQ and the wait is to long at Smokehouse try this place, it might steal you away from smokehouse permanently.

I tried this location out instead of having to travel all the way to Liberty location. Customer service was excellent. Had the burnt ends sandwich with baked beans and a soda. The sandwich was really great and the beans had just the right amount of sweetness. I will be returning to try another selection from their menu.

We just discovered Mudhole BBQ thanks to Doordash. We ordered Mudhole Sundaes one with pulled pork, one with pulled chicken and Mudhole Rangoon and Mudhole Egg Rolls. It arrived hot and oh so good! We plan to go to the restaurant for more. This meal was absolutely delicious!!
